6 Pres et D ownloa d (To Simultaneously Set Up this VCR with a New TV) First of a ll, ma ke sure th at the VCR is switched off. 1) Switch the T V on. The TV star ts to tu ne all av ailable T V stati ons and to adju st the cl ock.
7 If you are connect ing yo ur VCR to a TV using RF coaxi al cable an d 21-pin Sc art ca ble, then follow th e steps. (AV Conne ction) RF Co axial ca ble must be co nnected to watch TV channel s even if 2 1-pin S cart cable is used to conne ct VCR to T V.
8 If you are connect ing yo ur VCR to a TV using o nly RF coaxial cable, t hen follow the ste ps. (RF Co nnection) RF Co axial ca ble must be co nnected to watch TV channel s. 1) Press the [VCR-ON /OFF] (1) to turn on the VCR and tu ne your TV un til t he Coun try s etti ng menu appears o n the T V screen.
9 Playback For Normal Playback Press the [Play] (26) . For Cue or Review P layback During playback, ta p the [ Fast Forward] (25) or [Rew ind] (8) . • To return to normal pl ayback, press the [Play] (26) . • Press and hold dow n the [Fas t Forward] (25) o r [Rewi nd] (8) .

13 Linked Timer Recordings by External Equipments (EXT LINK) If an exte rnal equi pment (for e xample a s atellite re ceiver) with a tim er functio n is connec ted to the AV2 socket of this VCR by a 21-pin ca ble, it is poss ible to c ontrol the r ecording of the VC R from this equipme nt.
14 Timer Rec ording This VCR lets you pro gramme up to 16 TV pro grammes (includi ng week ly and da ily progr ammes) fo r unatte nded recording up to one month in advan ce. To Programme with the On Screen Display (OSD) This me thod offers easy st ep-by-step programming with th e remote c ontrol w hile yo u view th e prompts on the TV screen .

17 Search Functions Programme List Sear ch • Each time r recording pro gramming on the tap e must be at least 15 minutes long. (25 m inutes in th e EP mode) 1) Press the [LIBRARY/SEARCH] (4) to display the Programme List men u. 2) Press the [Cursor] (38) 34 to select t he prog ramme tha t you want t o loca te and pla y back.
18 Audio Dubbing (For NV-HS880 Series) The audio dubbing function lets you record new sound onto the norma l (mono) a udio track. • Connec t the audio equipme nt or a video mo vie cam era to this VCR with an a udio cab le.
