Programm ing 26 S pec ial instru ctions for programmabl e settings Night mode Night mode allows you to select a span of time during which the hands et will not ring for out side calls. This feature is useful for instance s when yo u do not want to be disturbed, for example, while sleeping.

Answer ing Sys tem 31 Answering sys tem The answering system can answer and record calls for yo u when you are unavailable to answer the phone. Y ou can also set the unit to play a greeting message but not to record caller mess ages. S elect “ Greeting only ” as the recording time se tting (page 36).
