3 Method of connection This is connected to the exchange line or P ABX/PMBX (Private Automatic/ Manual Branch Exchange) extension by the new standard British T elecom plug and socket. 17 Chapter 1 Preparation • Battery life may vary depending on usage conditions and ambient temperature. • Clean the handset and the base unit charge contacts with a soft dry cloth once a month. Clean more often if the unit is subject to grease, dust or high humidity .
