If it should malfunction or break down, grounding provides a path of least resistance f or electric current to reduce the risk of electr ic shock. This product is equipped with a cord having an equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding plug.

8 English 2 How to mo ve the unit Since the unit is very heavy [appro ximately 103.4 lbs (47 k g )], be careful to av oid back injuries. (The unit must be carried by two people.) Put the unit down slo wly and carefully watch y our step . See Caution No .

10 English BEFORE EVER Y MASSA GE (CHECK THE UNIT) 1 Remo ve the backrest cushion. Check Unfasten the zippers (3 locations) and fold down the bac k pad 2 Make sure there are no tears or rips in the fabric. See Caution No . 10 on page 2. Check 3 Make sure the massage heads are in the retracted position and then replace and fasten the bac k pad.
11 English Check the stora ge section 4 Make sure there is no f oreign matter between the unit. See Caution No . 11 on page 2. Notes How to take out and store a way the leg/ foot massa g e section 1 Pull up on the leg/foot massa g e lock release strap.

14 English After 15 minutes of use, w e recommend that you take a 10 minute break. Use the unit up to twice per da y , f or a total of 30 minutes. See Caution No . 5 and 9 on page 2. 1 Press the b utton to turn on the power . The menu selection b uttons flash.

21 English USING MANU AL OPERA TION See Caution No . 5 on page 2. Press the b utton. 1 The operation to chec k you are seated (tapping ar ound shoulders) will begin. Caution K eep your head on the backrest until the massage begins. Otherwise an error message (U10) is displa yed and oper ations are terminated.
22 English T o Customiz e T o adjust the position Press or to adjust. Each press mov es the massage heads appro ximately 0.6 in. (1.5 cm). When you hold do wn the button, the operation will continue until y ou release it. • • Flashing indicates the appro ximate current position.
23 English USING LEG/FOO T MASSA GE FOR CAL VES AND SOLES Press the b utton. The leg/foot massa g e begins. Press the button again to end the massage. When you are using leg/f oot massage only , ter minate the massage using the button. • T o adjust the intensity of the leg/foot massage Press the leg/foot massa ge buttons to adjust the intensity .
24 English AFTER COMPLETING THE MASSA GE Timer function The massage will complete automatically appr o ximately 15 min utes after the star t of operations. Interrupting the massage Press the b utton. The massage heads mov e to the retracted position. If y ou experience any pr oblems Press the b utton.
25 English CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE See Danger No . 1 on page 1. Seat F abric 1 Wipe the unit with a cloth moistened with mild deter g ent and thoroughl y wrung out. Ne ver use chemicals such as thinner , benzine, alcohol, etc. 2 Use water or a mild detergent and brush on areas where the seat fabric is particularly soiled.

27 English FITTING AND REMO VING THE B A CKREST CUSHION CO VER AND B A CK P AD Remo ving Backrest cushion co ver Unfasten the rear zipper and remove the cushion. Back pad 1 Unfasten the zippers (3 locations). 2 Unfasten the velcro fastener in the bottom section of the seat, and remove the back pad.

When the cushion is fully inserted, hold the top corner s of the cover and shake it up and down a fe w times.

31 English TR OUBLESHOO TING Prob lem Cause and Remedy Motor Noises It sounds and f eels like the massage heads are str aining to get ov er wr inkles in the cloth. There is operational noise of kneading or tapping actions. There is a creaking noise when the massage heads are in operation.
32 English Err or display Error displa y Explanations If the shoulder position cannot be correctly determined, this error message is displayed and operations are terminated. If this error occurs ev en if you are seated, press , then sit back all the wa y to the backrest and operate from the start again.
