RQT8317 9 Connecting a tele vision and VCR Connecting to a television with 21 -pin Scart terminal Y ou can also connect with the A V1 ter minal on this unit using the 21-pin Scar t ca ble .
RQT8317 10 STEP 1 Connection The S VIDEO OUT ter minal achiev es a more vivid picture than the VIDEO OUT terminal. (Actual results depend on the television.) COMPONENT VIDEO OUT ter minals can be used for either interlace or progressive output ( Ô page 50) and provide a purer picture than the S VIDEO OUT ter minal.
RQT8317 11 STEP 2 Channel reception and TV aspect settings 1 T urn on the television and select the appropriate A V input to suit the connections to this unit. 2 Press [ ^ D VD] to turn the unit on. Auto-Setup starts. This takes about 5 minutes . Auto-Setup is complete when y ou see the Clo ck setting menu.

Make certain before proceeding. • Y ou cannot delete while recording. • When a recorded title is delet ed the availab le disc space will increase by the amount deleted. • Disc space increases only when the last recorded title is deleted.
