GB 1 Owner’ s Manual MEDIAMASTER 9200 S 9600 S.
GB 2 Important Information Wiring the plug (UK and Eire only) The mains lead on this product is already fitted with a non-rewireable (moulded) plug incorporating a fuse, the value of which is indicated on the pin face of the plug.
GB 3 Mediamaster 9200 S and 9600 S For your safety • Keep a clear space around the Mediamaster to allow for sufficient ventilation. • Do not cover the Media- master or place it on a unit that emits heat. • Use a soft cloth and a mild so- lution of washing-up liquid to clean the casing.
GB 4 Welcome AUDIO L R Stereo outputs for connection to a HiFi system TV SCART for the audio / video input of the TV set SA T SCART for an analogue receiver VCR SCART for a video recorder * LNB cables.
GB 5 Installing the satellite dish • Y our satellite dish should be installed with a cable for you to connect to the Mediamaster . If you do not have this cable you will need to buy one from a dealer (tell the dealer you need a coaxial cable and F-connectors).
GB 6 • Do not remove the cable from the TV to the TV aerial. • Connect one end of the SCART cable to the TV SCAR T socket on the back of the Mediamaster and the other end to the SCART input socket on your TV .
GB 7 With Video recorder Connecting to an analogue satellite receiver and a video recorder • Connect one SCAR T cable between the TV set and the TV SCART socket on the Mediamaster . • Connect one SCART cable between the TV SCAR T socket on the analogue satellite receiver and the SA T SCART socket on the Mediamaster .
GB 8 Y ou can now plug in the mains plug of the Mediamaster to the wall socket. • Switch on your TV set. • When the Mediamaster is connected to the TV set, you will now see a welcome message on the screen. Y ou may now proceed to page 11 “Basic Settings”.
GB 9 T o turn the Mediamaster on/off (standby). Press once to switch to audio language/audio track (if available). Press twice to switch to Radio mode. TV T o leave a menu and go back to watch a TV pro- gramme. T o switch from Radio Mode to TV Mode. T o toggle between terrestrial TV , VCR, analogue and the digital satellite signal.
GB 10 T o be able to receive pay-TV channels you will need a CA Mod- ule and a Smart Card from the Service Provider of your choice. The Service Provider is the distributor of the programmes.
GB 11 Antenna configuration In order to configure your equipment (satellite dish and LNB) you will need to use the following menus. The LNB is the receiving unit which is mounted on the satel- lite dish. For the following setup procedure you have to know the Local Oscillator (LO) frequency valid for your LNB(s).
GB 12 Dish adjustment ASTRA, HOTBIRD, THOR and SIRIUS all have one (1) prepro- grammed channel each. If the dish is already correctly adjusted and your selection on line “LNB frequency” is also correctly set, you should now see a programme (from the satellite you just selected) in the background.
GB 13 If you have a single satellite dish equipped with 2 LNBs, or two dishes with one LNB on each, and want to watch channels from ASTRA and HOTBIRD: In the “Antenna Configuration” menu you should find the alter - native “One Antenna / 2 LNB:s for ASTRA / HOTBIRD”.
GB 14 Antenna alternative : Select an Antenna alternative from 1 to 8. Please note, that the parameters in the menu are prepro- grammed, but you can change any of them to suit your combi- nation. Name for the satellite: From here you can select a name for the configuration.
GB 15 SMA TV or IF frequency channel search Model 9200 S only A SMA TV network is commonly found in smaller block of flats. In such a network you will have access to a central antenna sys- tem. If the Mediamaster is connected to a SMA TV network, select “SMA TV or IF frequency search”.
GB 16 Start/stop watching TV T o start the Mediamaster from stand-by mode, press the but- ton, TV button or one of the number buttons on the remote con- trol. It is also possible to start by pressing the button behind the lid on the front of the Mediamaster .
GB 17 The Radio button Pressing the button once gives you a menu where you can change the spoken language in the present TV programme. (Only if more than one language is transmitted). Pressing the button twice will lead to the specific Audio Chan- nel mode .
GB 18 List of TV channels During the viewing of TV you get a programme list onto the screen by pressing the OK button. Y ou can change to another channel by stepping with the UP/ DOWN buttons and then press the OK button. T o move faster (10 channels at a time) between channels you can also use the double arrow buttons.
GB 19 Subtitling and T eletext. The TEXT button Pressing the TEXT button once while watching TV will put a menu on the screen where it is possible to change a subtitled lan- guage. This is only possible if more than one subtitling language is transmitted.
GB 20 How to show the Main Menu Press the MENU button and you will get the Main Menu on the TV screen. Press the TV or EXIT button to leave the menu. Submenus from the Main Menu If you select one of the highlighted titles and press the OK but- ton, a submenu will be shown on the TV screen.

GB 22 Antenna Configuration and Channel Search The “Antenna Configuration” line will bring you to the “Antenna Configuration Set-up” menu. The settings for this menu are al- ready described on page 14.
GB 23 Edit TV and Radio Channels From these menus you can change the order of the TV and Ra- dio channels to your needs by simply selecting and moving a channel to a new position. Y ou may also delete unwanted channels. Follow the instructions in the menu.
