If you set up your computer to use a static IP address, change the settings so that it uses Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP).

Y ou can set up a DMZ (demilitarized zone) server , change the maximum transmit unit (MTU) size, and enable the router to respond to a ping to its W AN (Internet) port.

By default, this radio is on so that you can connect wirelessly to the router. When the wireless radio is off, you can still use an Ethernet cable for a LAN connection to the router.

T roubleshooting 100 N300 WiFi Rout er WiFi P asswor ds The router comes preset with a unique WiFi network name and WiFi password. This information is on a label on the bottom of the router . Y ou can also set up a guest network to allow visitors to access your Internet connection.
T roubleshooting 101 N300 WiFi Rout er WiFi Connections If you are having trouble connecting wirelessly to the router, try to isolate the problem, which might be one of the following: • The WiFi signal strength is weak.
T roubleshooting 102 N300 WiFi Rout er T roubleshoot with the LEDs The LEDs on the front panel of the router indicate its status. Apply P ow er t o the Rout er and Check the LEDs T o apply power to the router and check the LEDs: 1. Connect the power adapter cord that came with the router and plug it in to a power outlet.
