POWER Activates the unit POWER ON or STANDBY. EJECT To eject a disc or tape, press EJECT button. NUMERIC Used from the menu to select, title/chapter search, time search and direct track number.
11 PRODUC T INFORMATION Identification of Controls REPEAT (Except VCD with PBC on) Two repeat modes are possible. When using a DVD, ÔCHAPTER REPEAT ONÕ repeats the current chapter and ÔTITLE REPEAT ONÕ repeats all chapters in the current title.
SUBTITLE Used to change the subtitle language to a different languages or to turn the subtitles off. This feature is DVD content dependent. AUDIO In DVD, used to change the audio language to a different language from the one selected at the initial settings, when the loaded disc supports multiple audio languages.
13 PRODUC T INFORMATION INSTALL ATION INST ALLA TION ¥ Connect the unit to a 12Vdc source only. ¥ The unit should be connected to the vehicle only after verifying the polarity of the cigarette lighter socket.
¥ You can connect a wide variety of audio/video equipment to your DVD-Video, including : an additional VCR, Laser Disc Player, DVD Player, Camcorder, Satellite Receiver, Video Game. Since all of these devices use essentially the same connections, they will be described together.
15 INSTALL ATION Installation STEREO SOUND UNIT REAR OF THIS PLAYER 1 Connect Audio jack. Connect AUDIO OUT in rear panel of DVD- Video to IN jack of stereo sound unit. 2 For Input Select in stereo unit, Select ÒExternal InputÓ connected with DVD-Video.
With [AV.SW] button, 4 output (AV1~4) mode can be set to VCP, DVD or AUX. 1 Press [AV.SW] button, then the right screen will appear. 2 With [ ] buttons, go to desired source in green color. The source which is previously set will be appeared in yellow color.
17 VIDEO P LAYER OPERATION MODE CHANGE By pressing [SOURCE] button on front panel, the buttons on the front panel or on the remote control activates according to the selected mode, DVD or VCP. WITH FRONT PANEL BUTTON Press [DVD] button. If DVD mode is correctly selected, DVD lamp on the front panel is lighted.
18 VIDEO PLA YER OPERA TION 1 Press [ √ ] button to power on. Press [VCP] button of remote control to change into VCP mode. 2 Insert the desired tape. 3 If you want to playback it, press [PLAY/PAUSE] button. When the operational status is flickering or poor, adjust it with [TRACKING +/-] button.
19 VIDEO P LAYER OPERATION ¥ Press [PLAY] button for 2 seconds or [A.REPEAT] button in the playback mode. The ÒA. RPTÓ lamp on the front panel will illuminate. The VCP cycles through the following modes and the ÒA. RPTÓ lamp lights green. The tape will play to the end, rewind to the beginning and play again.
20 PLA YING DISCS 1 Press [ √ ] button to power on. Press [DVD] button of remote control to change into DVD mode. 2 Insert the disc with its label look upward. After checking the discÕs condition, Playback or Stop function starts to operate. 3 To playback it, press [PLAY/PAUSE] button.
21 DVD PLA YER OPERATION Playing discs ¥ If you want fast (or reverse) playback, press [ ˆˆ ] or [ ˇˇ ] button in Playback mode. You can watch fast playing (reverse ) screen. Each time pressing [ ˆˆ ] button, its speed changes like below: DVD : FF 2x ➝ FF 4x ➝ FF 8x ➝ FF 16x ➝ FF 32x ➝ FF 64x ➝ PLAY ➝ FF 2x ➝ .
22 1 To move to next chapter (or track), press [NEXT ˆ ˆ ˆ ˆ ❚ ] button. The current chapter (or track) moves to the next chapter (or track). 2 Press [ ❚ ˇ ˇ ˇ ˇ PREV] button. The current scene moves to the previous chapter (or track) or first scene of current chapter (or track).
23 DVD PLA YER OPERATION Each time you press [REPEAT] button in playback mode, repeat playback starts as below. ¥ DVD : CHAPTER REPEAT ON ➝ TITLE REPEAT ON ➝ REPEAT OFF ¥ VCD, CD, MP3 : REP-ONE .
24 Playing a desired scene 1 If you want to search with a chapter number, press [SEARCH] button one time. It shows total title numbers and chapter numbers. Please enter the new chapter number to be searched using the [NUMBER] buttons. 2 If you want to search with a title number, press [ ] button.
25 DVD PLA YER OPERATION [DISPLAY] button can be used to know the elapsed title/chapter and remaining title/chapter. 1 While in playing, press [DISPLAY] button one time. The screen shows current title/chapter number. Also it shows the elapsed time of the title.
26 The user may select an audio language and subtitle language if a disc includes Multi-language. Keep pressing [AUDIO] button till the userÕs preferred language appears. If DVD disc includes audio information, every time the user presses [AUDIO] button, English (ENG), French (FRE), Spanish (SPA) and others appear one by one.
27 DVD PLA YER OPERATION The user can enlarge the current screen about 1.5, 2 or 3 times. 1 Keep pressing [ZOOM] button till the preferred zoom appears. Every time the user presses [ZOOM] button, a zoom magnification changes 1.5 times (ZOOMX1.5) ➝ 2 times (ZOOMX2) ➝ 3 times (ZOOMX3) ➝ OFF ➝ 1.
28 MENU SETUP 1 Press [SETUP] button to go into SETUP MENU screen. The left figure appears. 2 Press [ENTER] button to go into GENERAL SETUP screen. 3 TV DISPLAY SETUP ¥ Select ÒNORMAL/PSÓ, the user can watch only a center of the original scene of Ò16:9Ó.
29 DVD SE TUP You can go into ÒPREFERENCEÓ setup screen only when the player are in STOP mode, not in playback or Resume stop mode. 1 Press [SETUP] button to go into SETUP MENU screen. 2 Press [ ] button to select ÒPREFERENCEÓ. Press [ENTER] button to go into PREFERENCE screen.
30 7 PASSWORD CHANGE For the change of a userÕs password, please move to ÒCHANGEÓ and press [ENTER] button. Input old password and input new one. Then confirm password. 8 DEFAULTS Each function setting returns to the initial status in the factory if you select ÒRESETÓ.

Audio output does not change to Hi- Fi mode. No back-lighting at POWER button. Power indicated with back-lighting but unit will not operate.
