EN-12 Adjusting the position of the pr ojec ted image T o adjust the position of the projected image on the screen, use the LENS SHIFT button. 1. Pr ess the LENS SHIFT button. • The LENS SHIFT menu appears at the cent er of the screen. 2. Pr ess the p , q , t or u button to move the image position.

EN-14 DVD player Video player Set-top box or digital tuner A. Connecting the projector to video equipment • When the projector and the connected devices are loca ted too close to each other , the projected image may be aected by their interference .
EN-15 1. Connect one end of the optional video cable to the VIDEO IN terminal of the projector . 2. Connect the other end of the video cable to the video output terminal of the video equipment. • Also read the instruction manual of the equipment to be connected.
EN-16 Connecting to video equipment having a HDMI t erminal Y ou can projec t high-quality images by connecting the HDMI IN terminal of this projec tor to video equipment ha ving a HDMI output terminal. In addition, this projector supports HDCP and is able to receive encrypted digital video data that are output from DVD pla yers.
EN-17 B. P lugging in the power c ord • In order to ensure the saf ety in case of trouble with the projector , use an elec trical outlet having an ear th leakage breaker to supply the pow er to the projector . If you do not have such outlet, ask your dealer t o install it.
EN-18 1. Put the projector int o standby mode by pressing the main pow er switch. The POWER indicator lights up r ed. • If the projector was turned o before the lamp was c ooled down suciently last time, the lamp may not light up ev en when the POWER button is pressed .

Press the POWER button on the pr ojector or the ST ANDBY button on the remot e control. • A conrmation message is displayed . • T o cancel the proc edure, leav e the projector for a while or press the MENU button. 14. EN-20 Viewing video images (c ontinued) Setting the aspect ratio Y ou can change the aspec t ratio of the input video signal (or the ratio of width to heigh t of the image). Change the setting according t o the type of the input video signal. : Signal size : Image area • Bold frames are rec ommended modes.
EN-21 How to change the settings: With the r emote control: 1. Pr ess the ASPEC T button. • The screen f or selecting the aspec t ratio appears. 2. Select your desired aspect ratio by pressing the ASPECT button. • The aspect mode is switched between Standard, F ull Screen, Anamorphic1 and Anamorphic2.

EN-25 V iewing 3D images Y ou can enjoy the 3D fun when you watch 3D movies with 3D Glasses . The 3D Glasses and 3D Emitter shall be purchased individually; to view 3D images, the special 3D Glasses (EY -3DGS-1U) and 3D Emitter (EY -3D -EMT1) must be purchased .

EN-39 Picture Mode Y ou can select the most suitable setting to the images you watch. Select Picture Mode in the Picture 1 menu. Cinema This is a mode for wat ching movies in dim lighting as in a theater . VIDEO This is a standard mode suitable f or watching video images, etc .

EN-43 This projector automatically and pr operly projects video signals supplied from the computer . However , some video signals may not be projected, depending on the type of the computer . I n such a case, Use the A uto Position function to (See page 24.
EN-44 This projector is equipped with a lamp to pr ojec t images. This lamp is a consumable. It may burn out or its brightness may decrease during use. In such cases, r eplace the lamp with a new one as soon as possible. Be sure to r eplace the lamp with a new lamp sold separately that is ex clusive to this projector .
