4 - 12 T o ad d fuel to th e fuel tank : 1. Refuel th e unit onl y in a well ventilated , open area. 2. Stop the engine an d allow to cool. 3. Clean th e fuel cap and the area around th e fuel cap to p re v ent dir t from enter ing the fue l tank. Remov e the ca p from the fue l tank.

4 - 15 For Replacement: 1. Slide auger out ward against r oll pin and alig n hole in sha ft with hole in auger . The holes i n the shaft for the roll pi ns and Sh ear Bolts line up. 2. D riv e Shea r Bolt thro ugh ho le (i f Shea r Bol t w as broken this wi ll dri v e the remai ning par t from sha ft).

4 - 17 Speed Selector Adjus tment is req uired if you are una b le to sh ift into al l gears. 1. Put uni t into Upr ight Ser vice P osition. 2. Disconnec t the spe ed selector rod from t he adju stment lev er by removing hair pin (Fi gure 11). 3. Pl ace t he spe ed s elect or in the f ast re ver se spee d positi on (Figure 1 1).

Assem b le, using rev erse proc edure. 5.2 ATTACHMENT CLUTCH HANDLE Remov e (2) push nuts, pin and (2) screws holdin g Clutch Handle and pivot to upper handl ebar .

7 - 22 The uni t can be equippe d with eithe r of two dr ive axles. The first ty pe is a diff erential axle (Figu re 14). T o lock into two whee l dr iv e the le ft hand whee l has a l ock out hub . The secon d type is a spur gea r drive (Figu re 15).

9 - 26 9.1 A UGER/IMPELLER REMOV AL Place unit in th e Belt Se r vice P ositio n. 1. Remov e three nuts holdin g pulley to hub and remo v e pulle y and k e y . 2. Loosen set screw in hub and remove hub . 3. Remov e three nuts holdin g beari ng flange t o housin g and rem ov e b eari ng flange (Figure 19).
9 - 27 9.4 DISCHARGE CHUTE Remov e mou nting clips from discha rge chut e , oil a nd positi on chute o n auger/impe ller hous ing. Secu re dischar ge chute w ith mounti ng clips an d hardware. NO TE: Chute must rotate freely . T o adju st the gea rs tighten or loosen the lower nut (Figure 20) .
9 - 28 9.5 DEFLECTOR T o i nstall a new deflec tor cable: Remov e one jam nut from def lector cable (Fi gure 21). Route ca ble through retai ner mounted o n engine a nd chute b rac ket. Replace jam nut and secu re cable threade d connector (from lef t side) to de flector bracket with co tter pin.
