GB - 5 DELIVER Y Customer Note: I f you have purchased this product without complete assembly and instruction by your retailer , it is your responsibility to: 1. GB - 6 SAFETY DECALS AND LOCATIONS AL WA YS replace missing or damaged Safety Decals. Refer to figure below for Safety Decal locations. 1. DANGER! 2. W ARNING! 3. DANGER! SAFE T Y R UL ES Read, understand, and follow all safety practices in Owner/Operator Manual before beginning assembly or operating.
GB - 7 Keep area of operation clear of all t oys, pets, and debris. Thrown objects can cause injury . Check for w eak spots on dock s, ramps or floors. Avoid uneven work areas and rough terrain. S tay alert for hidden hazards. Avoid uneven and rough terrain.
GB - 8 Before cleaning, removing clogs or making any inspections, repairs, etc.: disengag e clutch(es), stop unit and engine, remo ve key , allow moving par ts to stop. Al low hot part s t o cool. Run unit a few minutes aft er clearing snow to prevent freeze-up of attachment.
GB - 9 • In case of internal c ontact, DO NOT induce vomiting! Before tipping unit up onto housing, remov e fuel so no spills will occur and remove battery . Ensure unit is secure and will not tip ov er during maintenance. AL WA YS keep protective structures , guards, and panels in good repair , in place and securely fastened.
GB - 10 Inst all D ischarge C hute (9 24124-128, 335-338, 516) Figure 5. 1. Grease underside of discharge chute ring (if not already greased). 2. Remove mounting hardware from auger housing. 3. Install discharge chute over opening in the auger housing and secure pedestal to auger housing with hardware removed in step 2.
GB - 1 1 2. T urn the chute gear until the solid pin i s towards the rear of the unit and a threaded stud aligns with the c hute motor (Figure 7). 3. Remove the six (6) nuts and two half rings (Figure 7). 4. Make sure the three (3) c hute clamps on the chute gear ar e underneath the discharge chute flange as shown in (Figure 8) 5.
GB - 12 Connec t Battery (92451 6, 517 ) 1. Remove w ing nuts from battery c over . 2. Inst all wire lead to bat tery terminal. 3. Install battery cover and tighten wing nuts. Deflector Remote 1. Remov e e-ring and flat washer from s tud on discharge chute.

GB - 14 CONTROLS AND FEA TURES See Figure 1 1 for all Controls and Features locations. Dual Handle Interlock When Attachment Clutch and t hen T raction Drive Clutch are engaged, the Attachment Clutch will remain engaged (leve r down) if released. T o stop attachment, release T raction Drive Clutch and both cl utches will disengage.
GB - 15 Choke Control Knob 1. Choke C losed position: chokes off ai r to engine f or easier start. 2. Choke Open position: allows for normal operation. IMPORT ANT : Gradually open choke after engine st art s. Throttle The throttle controls the engine speed.
GB - 16 Differenti al Lock (924124, 1 26, 127, 335, 336, 337, 516 , 517) Differential Lock knob is located on the Left Wheel Hub . With differential locked power is applied equally to both wheels. T o engage differential lock: • Pull and turn knob to LOCKED (1) position and releas e (knob will snap in place when positioned correctly).
GB - 17 FILLING FUEL T ANK Fuel Shut-Off V alve IMPORT ANT : The f uel shut-off valve MUST be in the closed position prior t o transporting the unit. The fuel shut-off valve has t wo positions: • Closed Position: Use this position to service, transport, or store the unit.
GB - 18 NOTE: When temperature is below -15° F (-26° C) additional priming may be needed. 4. If engine is cold, apply choke. See E ngine Manual for detail ed instructions. NOTE: A warm engine requires less choking than a cold engine. 5. Set throttle to proper start ing position.
GB - 19 1. Select Speed Control position and direction. 2. Engage Attachment Clutch - Right Hand Lever . 3. Engage Traction Drive Clutch - Left Hand Lever . IMPORT ANT : DO NOT overload unit capacity by attempting to c lear snow at t oo fast a rate. Use slow speed to clear deep or hard p acked snow .
GB - 20 CHECK DUAL HANDLE IN TERL OC K Without the engine running, pres s down (engage) both clutch levers. Release attachment clutch lever . Attachment clutch should remain engaged until traction cl utch lever is released, then both clutches must disengage.
GB - 21 CLEAN BATT ERY (92451 6, 517) IMPORT ANT : Battery is maintenance free. Do not t amper with or attempt to open battery . See Service and A djustments for charging procedures. Te r m i n a l s Keep battery and its terminals clean. IMPORT ANT : Remove battery from unit before cleaning.
GB - 22 DISCHARGE CHUTE If chute does not st ay in position while operating, tighten nut on carriage bolt at pivot point to increase tension on s pring (Figure 17). RUNNERS Runners should be adjusted (Figure 18) as conditions require. 1. Position unit on a har d, flat, smooth level surface.
GB - 23 SCRAPER BLADE IMPORT ANT : Damage to auger/impeller housing will result if blade wears down too far . Scraper blade is adjustable to compensate for wear . T o adjust scraper blade: 1. T ip unit back onto handlebar , support housing and loosen nuts ret aining blade.
GB - 24 ATT ACHMENT CLUTCH/BR AKE ADJUSTMENT (Figures 21 and 22) 1. Remove belt cover . 2. Check belt alignment ( Figure 24). Engine sheave and attachment pulley must align vertically . Also, belt must be centered in the idler pulley . T o align, move attachment pulley: a.

GB - 26 8. Remove attachment drive belt f rom attachment pulley (hold brake aw ay from belt). Inst all ne w att achment d rive belt: 1. Place new attachment bel t onto attachment pulley . 2. T ip housing and frame back t ogether and secure with cap s crews.
GB - 27 5. Release traction clutch lever, shift to third (3) position, and rem ove friction disc. 6. Secure new friction disc on hub with five cap screws and torque cap screws to 8-10 lbf-ft (10,6-13, 3 N•m). 7. Replace bottom cover . 8. Adjust traction drive clutch (see T rac tion Drive Clutch Adjustment ).
