GB - 19 CLEAN ENGINE Refer to Engine M anual f or detailed ins tructions . CHECK ENGINE OIL The en gine cr ankcase oil sho uld be checke d every 5 hours of operat ion. GB - 24 ATTACHMENT CLUTCH/BRAKE ADJUSTMENT (Figur es 33, 34 and 35) Remove Att achment Cable Slack 1. Remove the bel t cover . 2. Loosen jam nu t on cable adjustm ent barrel, and then tur n the adju stment bar rel up or down to lengthe n or shorte n cable a nd remove a ll cable slac k.
GB - 25 Adjust the Attachment Clutch Cable Spring Extension 1. Check the attachment c lutch cabl e spring extens ion. Measur e the len gth of the attach ment c lutch cable spring with the cl utch lever disenga ged. Then m easure the a ttachment clutc h spring with the clu tch leve r engaged .
GB - 26 Check Att achment Brake See F igure 38. 1. With the clutch le ver diseng aged, brake pad mus t contact attach ment be lts. With clutc h lever engaged , brake pad m ust be more than 1/1 6 in. (1.6 m m) from b elts. If t here is m ore than 1/16 in.
