MaxNAS Owner’ s Manual 20 1. System Information 1.1 System Information This page is the first page y ou see when y ou enter the MaxNAS R8 w eb interface. On this page you wi ll see b asic inf or mation about the RAID subsys tem including the firmware vers ion and the current uptime.
MaxNAS Owner’ s Manual 21 2. System Management The System Management Configuration menu contains basic system settings and configur ation options. It is strongly suggested that y ou go through each of these menus at least once to ensure that you are taking advantage of ev er y thing the MaxNAS R8 has to offer .
MaxNAS Owner’ s Manual 22 2.5 UPS Settings The MaxNAS R8 will monitor and respond to UPS status messages from a compatible attached UPS (for a list of compatible devices see Appendix D). T o use this feature you must first connect the UPS to the NAS via the serial port on the back of the NAS.
