2 Disassem bly instructio ns 2.1. Disassembly Flow Chart Main Unit 2.2.1. 2.2.2. 2.2.4. 2.2.5. 2.2.6. Preparation 1. End the Windows. 2. T urn of f the power , and then remove the AC adaptor or battery pack. 3. Remove any optional DIMM memory cards or PCMCIA cards.
2.2. Disassembly 2.2.1. Prepara tion Attention: Before disass embly, be sure to perform the following steps. 1. End the Windo ws. 2. Turn off the power and then remove the AC adapto r. 3. Slide the hooks (A) and then remov e the battery pack. 4. Remove the screw (A) and then remov e the DIMM cover.
2.2.3. Removing the HDD Prepa ration : perform the section 2.2.1. 2.2.2. first. 1. Remove the 2 screws (C) and then remov e the HDD cover. Screw (C):DFHE502 5XA(N 501) Screw(C) T ape HDD Cover 2. Lift up the HDD unit and remov e FFC connec tor and then remove the HDD unit.
5. Lift up the top case and remov e the pad FFC and then remove the top case. Pad FFC T op Case 2.2.5. Removing the Touch Pad Prepa ration : perfor m the sectio n 2.2.1. to 2.2.3. first. 1. Peel off the tape. 2. Depres s to center the 6 hooks of the pad cover, (D) (E) (F) as order.
2.2.6. Removing the LCD Knob and the Speake r Prepa ration : perfor m the sectio n 2.2.1. to 2.2.3. first. 1. Remove the latch spring from the top case. 2. Remove the hook of the LCD knob from stoppe r rib of the top case. 3. Peel off the tape of the speake r box.
5. Remove the DC jack holder on the DC-IN jack. 6. Remove the LCD cable connec tors (CN10,CN11 ,CN24). CN10 CN24 CN1 1 LCD Cable 7. Turn it to arrow and remov e the lithium battery connec tor (CN3), LAN cable connec tor (CN16) and HDD FPC connec tor (CN4) and then remov e the main board.
2.2.11. Removing the MODEM Prepa ration : perfor m the sectio n 2.2.1. to 2.2.3. and 2.2.8. first. 1. Remove the 2 screws (O). Screw (O):DXQT2+D 25FNL (N8) 2. Remove the MODE M from main board connec tor (CN18) as vertical. Screw (O) Screw (O) CN18 Modem 2.
2.2.13. Removing the LCD Unit Prepa ration : perfor m the sectio n 2.2.1. to 2.2.3. first. 1. Remove the 2 screws (M). Screw(M):DXQT26+ D5FNL (N14) 2. Remove the LCD cable from the connec tor (CN11) of the main board. 3. Remove the inverter cable from the connec tor (CN10) 4.

3.5. Processing of DC-IN Cable and Coaxial Cable The cable is processed to the ditch of the bottom case The cable is processed with the boss between ribs Confirm the terminal is vertical Coaxial cable 3.
