Intr oduction 3 This manual describes the MVR440MG/17, MVR450MG/17, and MVR650MG/17. The MVR440MG/17 and MVR450MG/17 hav e a single sound channel, but the MVR650MG/17 has stereo sound (right and left sound channels). Otherwise, these models look and operate the same.

36 Time Search Time Search lets y ou go to a specific point on a tape. Enter the amount of time you wish to skip in or der to reach the specified point. Mak e sure: ● The VCR is on and is in VCR position. (The VCR/TV light will appear . If it does not, press VCR/TV once .
Inde x Search 37 When you mak e a recor ding, the VCR places an index mark at the beginning of the recor ding. Essentially , an index mark is a type of “ bookmark ” for y our tape . This feature is useful if y ou hav e several differ ent programs recor ded on a single tape.
Automatic Pla yback When you put a ta pe in the VCR, the power will come on automati- cally . If the tape ’ s recor d tab is missing, pla y will begin. (If a timer recor ding is set, you ma y ha ve to press PO WER to turn on the VCR. T urn off the VCR for the timer recor ding later .
MTS Br oadcast Stereo (MVR650MG/17) 39 Y our VCR can pla y recordings br oadcast in Hi-Fi (high fidelity) stereo , which produces a crisp , clear sound from tw o sources. Y our VCR also can pla y tapes recor ded in a second audio (usually , that means your pr o- gram is recor ded in a second language).
