14 English P REP ARA TIONS Pictur e Setup S-VIDEO TV SHAPE Select the aspect ratio of the TV to be connected. If your D VD is not encoded to allow y ou to change the aspect r atio , TV shape cannot be changed. 4:3 PS (panscan) Select this if you ha ve a conv entional TV set and your D VD is not formatted for widescreen viewing.
15 English NIGHT MODE Night function can also be accessed via the remote control. OFF Select this when you want to enjo y the sur round sound with its full dynamic range . ON Select this to level out the v olume . High volume outputs will be softened and low v olume outputs are brought upward to an audible lev el.
16 English Helpful Hints: – Some D VDs are not encoded with a r ating though the movie r ating may be printed on the disc jac k et. The rating level f eature does not work for such discs . – If the player ’ s parental level is set below 8, only discs with a lower or equal le vel will play.
