11 HD CONNECTION OTHER OPTIONS HDMI CABLE HDMI connection is the digital replacement to the old SCART standard and provides the best picture and sound quality as well as being quick and simple to connect. Connect to HDMI OUTPUT port on the unit and to HDMI INPUT port on your TV.

42 GENERAL PLAYBACK PROBLEM SOLUTION The Power does not turn on Check the mains cable is plugged into the Unit and mains outlet securely. Try resetting the unit by holding the POWER button for FIVE seconds. There is no picture. Select the appropriate video input (AV) mode on the TV so the picture from the unit appears.
43 RECORDING HDMI TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM SOLUTION Cannot record or does not record correctly. Check the disc/HDD has suf fi cent available space. Check the source is not copy protected. Use a VR mode formatted disc for copy-once material. Timer record function is not successful.
