Operation Details 1. MAIN UNIT FUNCTION • DISPLA Y 1) C/O Model Operation Indicator • ON while in appliance operation, OFF while in appliance pause .
• While in compressor off , the indoor fan repeats low airflo w speed and pause. • While the intake air temp is betw een compressor on temp . and compressor off temp ., 10-min dehumidifica- tion operation and 4-min compressor off repeat. Compressor ON T emp .
-13- ■ Fuzzy Operation (C/O Model) • According to the temperature set by Fuzzy rule, when the intak e air temp is 0.5 ° C or more below the setting temp , the compressor is tur ned off . When 0.5 ° C or more abov e the setting temp, the compressor is turned on.
-14- 2) Fuzzy Operation for Dehumidification • According to the setting temperature selected by Fuzzy rule, when the intak e air temp is 0.5 ° C or more below the setting temp , the compressor is tur ned off . When 0.5 ° C or more abov e the setting temp, the compressor is tur ned on.
-15- ■ Off-Timer Operation • When the set time is reached after the time is input by the remote control, the appliance stops oper ating. • The timer LED is on when the off-timer is input. It is off when the time set by the timer is reached. • If the appliance is on pause at the time set by the timer , the pause continues.
-16- ■ Jet Cool Mode Operation (H/P Model) • While in heating mode or Fuzzy operation, the Jet Cool k ey cannot be input. When it is input while in the other mode operation (cooling, dehumidification, v entilation), the Jet Cool mode is operated.

Installation 1. Installation of indoor , Outdoor unit -18- Read completely , then follo w step b y step . 1) Select the best location 1. Indoor unit ■ Do not hav e any heat or steam near the unit. ■ Select a place where there are no obstacles in front of the unit.

Open panel front ■ First,Pull the grille bottom, then remov e screws(2 pieces), and close grille bottom again. ■ The moment of lifting the both low er par ts of panel front, you can hear sound this panel came out, In this time panel front is separated ■ After pull down this panel a bit, and separate con- necting wire with product.
-20- 4) How to fix installation plate The wall y ou select should be strong and solid enough to pre vent vibr ation Mount the installation plate on the wall with type "A" screws . If mounting the unit on a concrete wall, use anchor bolts . ■ Mount the installation plate horizontally by aligning the centerline using a lev el.
-21- 2. Flaring W ork and Connection of Piping 1) Flaring work Main cause f or refrigerant leakage is due to defect in the flaring work. Carr y out correct flar ing work using the f ollowing procedure . 1. Cut the pipes and the cable. • Use the piping kit accessor y or pipes purchased locally .
-22- 2. T ape the tubing, drain hose, and the connecting cable. Be sure that the drain hose is located at the lowest side of the b undle. Locating at the upper side can cause drain pan to overflo w inside the unit.
-23- 3) Connection of the pipes-Outdoor 1 . Align the center of the pipings and sufficientl y tighten the flare nut b y hand. 2 . Finally , tighten the flare nut with torque wrenc h until the wrench c licks. • When tightening the flare nut with torque wrench, ensure the direction f or tightening follo ws the arrow on the wrench.

Form the piping by wrapping the connecting por- tion of the indoor unit with insulation material and secure it with two kinds of vin yl tapes. ■ If you w ant to connect an additional drain hose , the end of the drain outlet should be routed abov e the ground.

-28- T o av oid nitrogen enter ing the refrigerant system in a liquid state, the top of the cylinder must be higher than its bottom when you pressurize the system. Usually , the cylinder is used in a v er tical standing position. 1) Air purging Air and moisture remaining in the refrigerant system hav e undesirable eff ects as indicated below .
-29- 3. Evacuation • Connect the charge hose end described in the pre- ceding steps to the vacuum pump to e vacuate the tub- ing and indoor unit. Confirm the "Lo" knob of the manifold v alve is open. Then, run the vacuum pump . The operation time f or ev acuation varies with tubing length and capacity of the pump .

-33- Disassembl y of the par ts (Indoor unit) W arning : Disconnect the unit from power supply bef ore making any chec ks. Be sure the power s witch is set to “ OFF ” . 1. T o remove the Grille fr om the Chassis. - Push mark[ ] on the grille bottom then pull it down and remov e 3 secur ing screws .
-34- 3. T o remove the Ev aporator . - Remo ve 1 scre ws secur ing the ev aporator . - Pull the e vapor ator out from the chassis carefully . 4. Before remo ving the T urbo Fan. - Remo ve the securing screws from the chassis . - Pull the pipe cov er , top cov er and the air guide.

1. Air purging Required tools : h e xagonal wrench, adjustable wrench, torque wrenches, wrench to hold the joints, and gas leak detector . The additional gas f or air purging has been charged in the outdoor unit. Howe ver , if the flare connections hav e not be done correctly and there gas leaks, a gas cylinder and the charge set will be needed.
2. Pumping down • Procedure (1) Confirm that both the 2-way and 3-wa y valves are set to the open position. – Remov e the valv e stem caps and confir m that the valv e stems are in the raised position. – Be sure to use a he xagonal wrench to operate the valv e stems.
1) Re-air purging (Re-installation) • Procedure (1) Confirm that both the 2-wa y valve and the 3- way v alve are set to the closed position. (2) Connect the charge set and a gas c ylinder to the service por t of the 3-way v alve . – Leav e the valv e on the gas cylinder closed.
2) Balance refrigerant of the 2-way , 3-way v alves (Gas leakage) • Procedure (1) Confirm that both the 2-way and 3-wa y valves are set to the back seat. (2) Connect the charge set to the 3-wa y valve’ s port. – Leav e the valv e on the charge set closed.
3. Ev acuation (All amount of refrigerant leaked) • Procedure (1) Connect the vacuum pump to the c harge set’ s center hose (2) Evacuation f or appro ximately one hour . – Confir m that the gauge needle has mov ed tow ard -76 cmHg (vacuum of 4 mmHg or less).
4. Gas Charging (After Evacuation) • Procedure ( 1 ) Connect the charge hose to the charging cylinder . – Connect the charge hose which you dis- connected from the vacuum pump to the v alve at the bottom of the cylinder .

- 48 - • The operation indicator of Indoor unit b links five times . • The red indicator of Outdoor unit blinks fiv e times. Check the connecting wires betw een Indoor and Outdoor unit for the connecting error and the contacting condition. Check the installation condition of outdoor unit.
