1 Chapter 1 General Informati on The CTEP/G Series Enclosures prov ide power s ourcing for broadband cabl e operations . Safety This Safety Guide contains im portant instructions that s hould be follo w ed during installat ion and maintenance of the APC equipment and batteries.
2 Chapter 2 Installation Prior to in stalling the power su pply enclosure, a u tility breaker box must be i nstalled on th e pole. Utility line voltage must be routed to the enclosure. 4 Installing the Enclosure Models m ay vary in app earance from thos e depicted below. Install the Mounting Br acket on a Pole CTEP0/CTEP4 models CTEP3/CTEP6/CTEP8 models Install the Enclosure on the Moun ting Bracket CTEP0/CTEP4 models Secure the bolts, nu ts, and washers on the mounted bracket prior to installing the enclosur e.
5 Ground Mount Installation 1. Install an APC approv ed concrete pad. Contact y our dealer or refer to the A PC Web site, www.apc.com f or more inf ormation. 2. Secure the enclosure to the pad. R efer to the diagrams below. 0 Battery Enclosure : Attach the ground skirt to the concrete pad.
6 Wiring Grounding 1. Install and in terconnect ground rods ap prop riate for proper grounding accordin g to local electrical code requirem ents. 2. Route groun d wires from the ground sy stem into the bus bar located on the en closure.
