3 RANGE SAFETY The Anti-T ip Bracket The range will not tip during normal us e. However , the rang e can tip if yo u apply too mu ch force o r weight to the o pen door without the anti-tip br acket fastened down properly . You can be killed or seriously injured if you don't immediately follow instructions.

13 BEFORE USING Odors are normal when th e range is new . This happ ens the first time the oven i s used. IMPORT ANT : The healt h of some bi rds is extremely sens itive t o the fumes given off. Expos ure to the fumes may result i n death to certa in bir ds.
14 Meat Thermometer On models wit hout a tempe rature probe, always rely on a meat thermometer to determine do neness of meat and poultry . The inter nal temperat ure, not appearan ce, is what cou nts. A meat thermo meter is not suppli ed with thi s applian ce.
15 ■ T rim exces s fat to reduce spatteri ng. Sli t the remaining fat on the edges t o prevent curli ng. ■ Pull out oven rack t o stop position before tur ning or removing food. Use tongs to turn food to avoid the loss of juices. V e ry thin c uts of f ish, pou ltry or meat ma y not n eed to be turned.
16 ■ T est baked goods for doneness a few minutes befor e the minimum cooking t ime with an al tern ative meth od such as a toothpick. ■ Use a meat th ermomet er or th e tem per atur e pr obe to determine the doneness of meats and poultry . 21 T o Chang e Probe T emperature, Oven Setting: Repeat previ ous steps . If CANCEL OFF is press ed anytime w hen changing th e probe temperat ure, the set fun ction wil l automati cally be cancel led and the use of the temperature probe function wil l need to be reset.

25 Oven Light(s) The oven l ight(s) is a 40-wa tt appl iance bulb. Th e light(s) will come on when the oven door is opened . The light(s) will not work during the S elf-Clean ing cycle. Wh en the ove n door is closed, press OVEN LIGHT to tu r n the light(s) on or of f.
