25 EN Application section Stereo LP modes The MD recorder of the sy stem is compat- ible with stereo long play of MD (MDLP compatible equipment). T he av ailable recording modes include stereo, stereo LP2 and stereo LP4 modes, and they can be used with an y of the music sources whic h can be recorded with the MD recorder of the system.

48 EN 7 Execution 6 Press the ON/ST ANDBY key (or POWER key on the remote control) to put the unit in the ST ANDBY mode. The S T ANDB Y/TIMER indicator lights in green. When the set ON time comes, the timer program is e xecuted and record- ing starts.

51 EN Knowledge section Dust countermeasure The shut ter of the disc cartridge is perma- nently open while the disc is loaded in the set. Theref ore, to pre v ent dust from pen- etrating inside the disc, take the disc out of the unit immediately af ter completion of recording or playbac k.
52 EN Important items(continued) Maintenance of the unit When the front panel or case becomes dirty , wipe with a sof t, dr y cloth. Do not use thin- ner , benzine, alcohol, etc. for these agents may cause discoloration. In regard to contact cleaner Do not use contact cleaners because it could cause a malfunction.
