Connections 11 CAUTION • When you connect speakers other than the supplied ones, use speakers of the same speaker impedance (SPEAKER IMPED ANCE) indicated near the speaker terminals on the rear of the po wered subwoofer . • DO NO T connect more than one speaker to one speaker terminal.
Connections 12 Note that the illustration bel ow is for SP-PWC6. CAUTION • When you connect speakers other than the supplied ones, use speakers of the same speaker impedance (SPEAKER IMPED ANCE) indicated near the speaker terminals on the rear of the po wered subwoofer .
Connections 13 • Place the satellite speakers on a flat and level surface. • The front and center speakers are magnetically shielded to avo id color distortions on TVs. However, if not installed properly, they may cause color distortions. So, pay at tention to the following when installing the speakers.
Connections 14 NOTE • The way of connecting the system cord varies depending on the type of the powered subwoofer. Y ou can enjoy the sound of an analog component. NOTE • The signals input to the VIDEO j ack of the VCR IN jacks will be output only from the VIDE O jack of the VIDEO OUT jacks, not from the S-VIDEO jack of the VIDEO OUT jacks.
15 Operating external components with the remote control NOTE • Manufacturers’ codes are subj ect to change without notice. • Set the codes again after replacing th e batteries of the remote control. 7 To set the manufact urer’s code Y ou can operate a JVC TV without setting the manuf acturer’ s code.

Basic operations 18 On the remote contro l: Press one of the source selecting buttons (DVD, FM/AM, VCR or DBS). DV D : T o play back a disc (DVD VIDEO, VCD etc.). ( A pg. 21) FM/AM : T o tune in an FM or AM station. ( A pg. 41 ) Each time you press the butt on, the band alternates between FM and AM.
Basic operations 19 The system turns of f automatically when the specif ied period of time has passed. Press SLEEP. Each time you press the button, the shut-of f time changes. Example: To check the remaining time Press SLEEP once. To change the remaining time Press SLEEP r epeatedly .

Advanced operations 27 7 All Channel Stereo (DSP) All Channel S tereo (ALL ST) mode can reprodu ce a lar ger stereo sound fi eld using all the connect ed (and acti v ated) speakers. All Channel Stereo can be used while reproducing 2 channel stereo source.
