14 VM9214 OPER ATING INSTRUCTIONS Power On / Off Press the /SRC button (10) on the unit (or th e button ( 4) on the remote control) to turn the unit on. The butto ns on the front of the unit light up and the current mode st atus appears in th e LCD (7).
15 VM9214 Source Menu Y ou can also use the touch screen to change the source throug h the SOURCE MENU. T o acc ess the SOURCE MENU, touch the top lef t corner of the screen or press the SRC button on the front panel (10) or remote control (8). T ouch the RADIO, DISC, USB1, USB2, BT , NA V , AUX or CAMERA button to select the correspondin g source.

18 VM9214 Steering Wheel Control (SWC) The VM9214 is comp atible with the P AC (Pacific Accessory Corpo ration) steering wheel con trol adapter SWI-PS. A 3.5mm female con nector (labeled “SWC Interface”) on th e back of the head unit allows connectivity to t he P AC adapter .

21 VM9214 Language Sub -menu Features If a DVD support s more than 1 Subtitle or Audio language, all t he languages are availa ble for selection during playback. If the selected language is not supported by the DVD, then the default la nguage is used.
22 VM9214 Bluetooth Sub- menu Features Rating Sub-menu Featu res The DVD system has a built-in parent al lock feature to preven t unauthorized persons from viewing restri cted d isc content. By default, the rating system is unlocked. Once setup, the parent al lock is released only by entering the correct pa ssword.
23 VM9214 NOTE: Record the password and keep it in a safe place for future reference. The rating for eac h disc is marked on the disc, di sc packing, or documentation . If the rating is not a vailable on the disc, the parental lock feature is unavailable.

34 VM9214 PBC - Play Back Contr ol (VC D Only) For VCDs with play back functionality , play back control (PBC) pro v ides additional controls for VCD playback. Press the MENU button (1) on the remote control to toggle the PBC function “On”/”Of f”.
