1 IMPORT ANT INSTRUCTIONS 1. Do not install the system near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (includi ng amplifiers) that produce heat. 2. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinche d particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point w here they exit from the apparatus.
2 COMPLIANCE WITH FCC REGUL A TION This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired o peration.
3 LOCA TION OF CONTROLS POWER SOURCE This Portable Speaker System is designed to operat e on 4 x 1.5V ‘AAA’ (UM-4) batteries (Not included) or with the included AC Adaptor. GETTING STARTED A. DC OPERA T ION For better performanc e and longer opera ting time, we recommend using alkaline -type batteries.
4 B. AC P OWER CONNECTION 1. Plug the AC adaptor into a household 120V AC ~ 60Hz power source. 2. Insert the other plug into the DC INPUT Jack on the back of JiSS-250i. Note: The b atteries will be automatically disconnected o nce the AC ada ptor is plugg ed into the DC Jack and the System will ope rate on AC power .
5 DOCKING YOUR IPod 1. Fold out the STANDS located on the bottom of JiSS-250i. 2. Select a suitable adaptor attachment for your iPod/iPhone and insert it into the docking tray. Your iPod/iPhone can now be inserted onto the dock connect or by aligning the connector on the bottom of the iPod onto the connector in the docking bay as shown below.
