4 ANTI-TIP DEVICE WARNING! • All ranges can tip. • Injury to persons could result. • Install anti-tip device packed with range. • See Installation Instructions. WARNING! To reduce the risk of tipping, the range must be secur ed by properly installed anti-tip bracket provided with the range.
5 • Utensil handles should be turned inward and not extend over adjacent surface bur ners – To reduce the risk of burns, ignition of flammable ma terials and spillage due to unintentional contac t with the utensil, th e handle of the utensil should be positioned so that it is turned inward, an d does not exten d over adjacent surface bur ners.
COOK-TOP USE SETTING SURFACE CONTROLS • Your range may be equippe d with 2 different sized surface burners. The ability to heat food qui cker and in large volumes increases as the burner size increases. • Regardless of size, always select cookwar e that is suitable for the amount and type of foo d being prepared.
OVEN USE BEFORE SETTING OVEN CONTR OL Oven Vent Location • The oven vent is located below the back guard. When the oven is on, warm ai r is release through this vent. This venting is necessary for proper air circulation in the o ven and good baking resul ts.
HOW TO OPERATE THE OVEN Baking Before baking, positions racks and bake ware according to “Arranging Oven Rac ks” and “Air Circulation in the Oven” sections. 1. Push in and turn the Temperature Cont rol knob to the desire temperature. 2. Preheat the oven for 10 to 12 minutes before b aking.
GENERAL CARE AND CLEANING IMPORTANT: Before cleaning, make sure all controls are OFF and th e range is cool. Always foll ow label instructions on cleaning products.
Oven cavity • Do not use oven cleaners. • Soap and water will normally do the job. Heavy spat tering or spill overs may require cleaning with a mild abrasive cleaner. Soap-filled, steel wool pads may also be used. • Be sure to w ear rubber glov es to prot ect your hand s.
CLEANING THE CONTOURED WELL AREAS, BURNER CAPS, AND BURNER HEADS The contoured well areas, burner caps and burner heads should be routinel y cleaned. Keeping the burner por ts clean will prevent improper ignition and an u neven flame.
