- 4 - 1.2 Getting to Know Your Camera Front View Lens Assembly Power LED indi cates the camera is powered on with the steady amber light. Link LED indi cat es the camera’s network connectivity with the flashing green light.
- 5 - Rear View External Antenna Screw Hole is used to connect the camera stand. Reset Button will restart the came ra when it i s pressed quickly; when it is long pressed for five seconds, the camera will resume the factory default settings. DC Pow er Connector is used to connect the AC power adapter, in order to supply power to the camera.

- 8 - C HAPTER 2 H ARDW ARE I NST ALLA T ION 2.1 Installing the Camera Stand The camera comes with a camera stan d, which u se s a swi vel b all screw head to lock to the camera ’s screw hole.
- 9 - 2.2 Connecting the Camera to LAN/WLAN Use the provided Ethernet cabl e to connect the camera to your local area netw ork ( LAN). When you conne ct the AC power adapter, the camera is po wered on automat i c all y. You can verif y the power status from t he Pow er LED on the front panel of the camera.

- 1 1 - C HAPTER 3 A CCESSING THE C AM ERA 3.1 Using IP Finder The camera comes with a convenie nt ly utilit y, IP Finder, which is included in the I nstallation CD-ROM , all owing you to sea rch the camera on your netw ork easily. 1. Insert the Installation CD-ROM into your computer’s CD-ROM drive to initiate the Auto-R un program.
- 12 - 3.2 Accessing to the Camera Whenever yo u want to access the came ra: 1. Open the We b browser on you r co mputer (for exam ple, Microsoft Internet Explorer in this guide) 2. Type the defa ult IP address ( 192.168.0.30 ) or the IP address found by IP Finder in the A ddr e ss bar, and then pr ess [Enter].

- 15 - 3.3 Configuring the IP Address of the PC If you are failed to acce ss to th e camera, please check the IP address of your compute r. When yo u connect the camera to your computer di rectly t o proceed with configuration of the camera, you need to set up the IP addr esses to be in the same segment for the two devices t o communica t e.
- 16 - C HAPTER 4 C ONFIGURING THE C AMERA 4.1 Using the Web Configura t ion You can access and mana ge the ca mera through the Web browser and the provi ded software applic ation Ultra View. Thi s chapter describes t he Web Configu ration, and guides you through the configuration of the camera by usi n g the web browser.
- 17 - 4.2 Using Smart Wizard The camera’s Smart Wizard lets yo u configure your camer a ea sily and quickly. The wi zard will guide you through the necessary setti ngs with detaile d ins truct ions on each s tep. To start the wi za rd, clic k Sma rt W iz ard in the left menu bar.

Otherwise, click Prev to go back to the previ ou s step(s) and chang e the setting s; or click Can cel to end the wizard a nd di scard the changes.
- 20 - 4.3 Basic Setup The Basic menu cont ains three su b -menus that p rovide the system settin gs fo r the c amera , such as the Camera Name, Location, Date & Time, and User managem ent. Basic >> System Basic - Camera Name: Enter a descriptive name for the camera.
- 21 - Basic >> User Administr ator To prevent unauthorized acce ss to the camera’s Web Configuratio n, you are strongly recomm end t o change the default administrator password. Type t he administrato r password twice to set and confirm the pa ssword.
- 22 - 4.4 Network Settings The Network menu contain s thr ee sub-menu s that provide the network settings for the camera, such as the IP Setting, DDNS Setting, IP Filter, an d Wireless network.
- 23 - Network > > Network IP Setting This item allows you to sel e ct the IP address m ode and set up the related configuration. - DHCP: Select this option when yo ur net work uses the DHCP server. When t he camera starts up, it will be assigned an IP address from the DHCP serve r autom atically.
- 24 - DDNS Set ting With the Dynamic DNS fe ature, you can assign a fixed host and domain name to a dynamic I nter net IP address. Select the Enable option to enable t his feature. Then, select the Provid er from the pull-down list and enter the req uired inf o rmat ion in the Host Name , User Na me , and Password boxe s.
- 25 - Network >> IP Filter The IP Filter setting allows the adm inistrator of the ca mera to limit the users within a ce rtain range of I P addre sses to access the camera. Start/End IP Address Assign a range of IP addresses t hat are not allow ed to access the camera by enteri ng the Start IP address and E nd I P address.
- 26 - Click Site Su rvey to display the avail able wirel ess networks, so that you can ea sily connect t o one of the listed wireless networks. List of searching results - Wireless M ode: Select the type of wireless com munication for the camera: Infrastructur e or Ad- Hoc .
- 27 - If you select Open or Shared-key as the Authentication mode, you need to complete t he f ollowing settings: Encryption: Select the WEP option t o enable the data encryption feature to secure t he camera within the wireless network.

- 29 - Video >> Camera Image Settin g - Brightness: Adjust the brightne ss le vel from 0 ~ 100. - Contras t: Adjust the contrast level f rom 0 ~ 100. - Saturation: Adjust t he colors level from 0 ~ 100 . Click Default to restore the default sett in gs of the three options above.
- 30 - 4.6 Event S erver Configuration The Event Serv er menu contains tw o sub-menus that allow you to upload images t o FTP, and send em ails that include still images. When you complete the required settings for FTP, or Email, click Test to test the related co nfiguration is corre ct or not.
- 31 - Event Server Setting>> FTP FTP - Host Address: Enter t he IP addres s of the target FTP ser ver. - Port N umber: Enter the port number us ed for the FTP server. - User Name: Enter the user name to logi n into the FTP server. - Password: E nter the password to login into the FTP server.
- 32 - 4.7 Motion Detect The Motion Detect menu contains the command and option that allow you to enable and set up t he mot ion detection feature of the camera. The camera p rovides two detecting area s. To enable the detecting a rea, select Window 1 or 2 from the pull- down list, and then select Enable .
- 33 - 4.8 Event Config The Event Config menu contains fou r sub-menu s that provide the command s to configu re event profile s. Event Configuration >> General Setting - Snapshot/Recording Subfolder: You can assig n a g iven sub- folder for captured file.
- 34 - Event Configuration >> Arrange Schedule Profile This sub -menu displ ays the sch edu led profile(s). To customize the profil e, cl i ck Add and then enter a descriptiv e name f or the prof ile in the prompt dialog wi ndow. After entering the profile name, click OK and the profile is add ed to the Sche dule Profiles list.
- 35 - Event Configuration >> Motion Dete ct Tri gger Select the Enable option t o enable the trigge r function of the camera, so that you can se nd captured im age s within the det ecting area to the FTP server, or email rece iver. You have to confi gure corresponding settings, such a s FTP server and emai l serve r, to enable this fe ature.
- 36 - 4.9 Tools The Tools menu provides t he command s that allow you to restart or reset the camera. You can also backup and resto re your configuration, and upg rade the firmwa re for the camera.
- 37 - Factory Reset Click Rese t to restore all factory defa ult settings for the cam e ra. System R eboot Click Reboot to restart the came ra just like turning the device off and on. The camera configuratio n will be retained a fter rebooting.
