Chapter 1 Introduction Congratulations that y ou purchase an outst anding Wireless Bridge. This product is a transceiver that connect s two or more remo te network into a single LAN and can act as a center point of a standalone wireless network or as the connection point between wireless and wired network.

Chapter 3 General Configuration 3.1 Log in and S tart up This product provides a we b based configuration sc heme, make possible to configure by web browser such as Nets cape Communicator or Internet Explorer. 1. Start the web browser, and disable the proxy or add the IP address of this product into the exce ptions of Proxy setting .
When this device is prin ting, there may appear a “ Kill Job ” button on the Sidenote column. You can click this button to c ancel the c urrent printing job manually.
3.4 Prim ary Setup Figure 3.3 This option is primary to enable this product to work properly. 1.IP Address : the IP address of this device. 2.Mode : the opera ting mode of this device. Th e default mode is “Bridge”, which is the normal oper ation mode of a B ridge.
5. WEP Security : Se lect the data pr ivacy algorithm you want. Enabling the security can protect your data while it is transf erred from one station to anot her.
Association control Check " Association control" to enable the controlling of which wireless cl ient can associate to t he wireless LAN. I f a client i s denied to associate t o the wireless LAN, it means the client can't send or receive any data via this device.
Chapter 4 Configure as a Bridge Two of these device s have capa bility to communicate with e ach other whe n these two devices are working in the “Bri dge” M ode. Users can connect two or more wired LANs tog ether via wireless connection with wireless bridge function.
4.2 Cr eate a Bridge Netw ork Environm ent The bridge supports external antennas with omni-directiona l or directional capabilitie s. Omni-directiona l antennas ar e suited for sy stems requiring a signa l distribution in more than one direction. Hi gh-gain directional an tennas are best suited for longer coverage rang e in a fixed direction.
Chapter 5 DHCP Server Dy namic Host Configurati on Protocol (DHCP) is a TCP/IP standard for simplify i ng manage ment of host I P configuration. The DHCP standard provides for the use of DHCP servers as a way to manage dy namic allocation of I P. Every computer on a TCP/IP network must have a unique computer name and IP address.
Fixed Mapping I n general, DHCP server a ssig ns an IP address chosen from the I P addresses pool randomly . Fixe d Mapping allows you to assign a specific I P address to the specified MAC address.
Chapter 6 Print Server This product provides the function o f network print server for MS W indows 95/98/NT/2000/XP , Linux and Unix based platforms. 6.1 Configuring on Windows 95/98/ME Platform s After finished the software installa ti on procedure described in Chapter 7, the computer has ability to print via this pr oduct.
3. Select the Details item. 4. Choose the “PRTmate: (All-in-1)” from the list attached at the Print To the following port item. Ensure that the Print using the following driver ite m is configured to the correct driver of this printer server . 5. Click Port Settings .
6.2 Configuring on Windows 2000/XP Platforms The configuration procedure for a Windows 2000/XP platform is similar to that of Windows 95/98/ME except of the printer Properties .
Chapter 7 Software Installation 1. I nsert the installation CD- ROM into the CD-ROM device. The f ollowing window will be shown automatica lly . If it isn’t, please run “ inst all.exe ” in the CD-ROM. 2. Click the INSTALL button. Wait until the following Welcome dialogue appears, and click the Next button.
3. Select the de stinati on folder and click the Next button. Then, the setup progra m will begin to install this pr ogram into the computer. 4. When the following window is display ed, click the Finish button. 5. Select the ite m to restart the computer and the n click the OK button to reboot y our computer.
6. After rebooting y our computer, you can configure this device (refer to Chapter 4) and setup the Print Serv er (refer to Chapter 6). 20.
Appendix A TCP/IP Config uration for W ireless W indows 95/98/ME/2000/X P This chapter will introduce how to insta ll the TCP/I P protocol in the personal computer and using the TCP/I P settin g to connect this device correctly . A.1 Configure Windows 95/98/ME Platform s for w orking with this device 1.

A.2 Configure Windows 2000/XP P latforms for work ing with this device 1. After complete inst allation the windows 2000/XP, the sy stem will automatica lly install the TCP/I P protocol. 2. Connect this device to a comput er by general network cable. 3.

I n the General tab, select Use the following IP address and set a IP address which is in the same subnet with this product(default is 192.168.123.254). 7.
