O VEN TIMER OPERA TION A UTOMA TIC C OOKING The T op Oven and Main Oven can be controlled by the automatic timer . When the timer control has been set for one o ven, it is possible to use the other o ven only during the same automatic cooking programme.
8 KNOW Y OUR TIMER CL OCKF ACE The timer incorporates a 24 hour clock. Ensure the correct time of day is alw ays set , before using your cooker . SYMBOLS A ‘bell’ symbol will light up when you select a Minute Minder Period and will remain lit for the period set.

When cooking Automatically the Cook P eriod can be check ed at an y time simply by pressing the Cook Period button. 2. When cooking Automatically the End Time can be checked at any t ime by simply pr essing the End Time button.
The grill pan handle is detachable from the pan, to facilitate cleaning and st orage. The grill pan handle can be fixed as f ollows: Step 1 Remove screw & washers from the grill pan bracket. Step 2 T ilt the handle ov er the recess (a). Step 3 Slide it towards the centre of the pan (b).

Step 2 Place the shelf in the chosen position. Step 3 Push in and turn the contr ol knob clock wise to the lar ge flame symbol.

USING THE MAIN O VEN C OLD ST ART C OOKING Anything requiring long slow c ooking such as casseroles and ric h fruit cakes can be put into a cold oven. Satisfactory results can also be obtained with cr.
USING THE MAIN O VEN The ‘S’ setting on the main ov en thermostat is used for slow c o oking, keeping food warm and warming plates for short periods. USING THE ‘S’ SETTING 1. All dishes cooked by the ‘S’ setting should be cooked for a m inimum 6 hours.

MAIN O VEN C OOKING CHART When baking with two trays or tins on two levels , the top tray is removed first and the low er tray moved up to the t op position for a few minutes longer . Soft Margarine – Use the oven settings recommended by the mar garine manufacturer and not those indicated on the cooking chart.
1. “ST A Y CLEAN” OVEN LINERS - MAIN O VEN ONL Y ( a) How "Sta y Clean" works . The surfaces of the "Stay Clean" oven liners are tr eated with a special vitreous enamel which absorbs cooking soils. At temperatur es of mark 7 or above , the special surface enables these soils to be slowly destroy ed.
3. OVEN DOORS ( a) Contr ol Panel Regularly wipe with a clean, damp cloth and polish with a clean, dry cloth. (b) T rims Wipe over the trims with a clean, soft cloth wrung out in warm water , or mild non abrasive cleaner .
CARE AND CLEANING 25 Take particular care not to damage the inner sur face of the door inner glass tha t is coated with a hea t reflective la yer . Do not use scouring pads, or abrasiv e powder , which will scratch the glass. Ensur e that the glass panel is not subjected to any sharp mechanical blo ws.
INST ALL A TION INSTR UCTIONS 26 Prior to installation, ensur e that the local distribution conditions (nature of the gas and gas pressure) and the adjustment conditions are compatible . The adjustment conditions f or this appliance are stated on the data badge which is fitted behind the bottom of the main o ven door seal.

C ONNECTING T O GAS SUPPL Y The oven is designed t o be connected with an approved applianc e flexible connection to BS 669. A length of 1.25 to 1.55m is recommended . An adaptor backplate should be fitted in the area shown to allow the appliance t o be pushed fully back into the cabinet.
Connection to the electricity supply should be made via a properly ear thed, r eadily accessible wall socket which is adjacent to , and not more than 1.25m awa y from the appliance and capable of electri- cal isolation. The mains lead should be routed such that it cannot touch hot parts of the appliance i.
