T his spreads the f orces o f a crash over th e st r ongest bones in your upper body. If t he seat belt t ouches o r crosses your nec k, or if it crosses your ar m instead of your sh oul der, yo u need to adjust t he seat belt anchor heigh t.

If a seat belt is worn durin g a crash, it must be replac ed by y our dea ler . A belt tha t has be en w orn dur ing a crash may no t pro vid e t he same level of prot e ct ion in a subsequent cr ash. T he dea ler should a lso inspec t the anc hors f or da ma ge a nd re plac e them if needed.

T here will be some delay between t he moment t he pa sse nger moves int o or out of t he a irba g de ployment p a t ha n dw h e nt h ei n d i c a t o r c o m e s on or goe s of f . A f r ont seat passenger should not use a cushion or other object as a backrest.
If t he impac t is on the pa ssenge r’s side, t he pa ssenge r’s side curt a in airb ag will in f late even if there are no occupant s on t ha t side of t he v ehicle. T o get t he bes t prot ect ion f r om t he side cur t ain a irba gs, occ upant s shoul d wear t heir seat belts and sit upright and w ell ba ck in the ir se at s .
If you see any of t hese indi cat ions, the airbags and seat belt tensioners may not w ork proper ly w hen you need them. T his ind icator alerts you that the passenge r’s side air bag ha s be en au to m ati cal ly sh u t of f . I t d oe s mea n t her e is a problem wit h your si de airbag s.

Ho wever, you mu st h ave yo u r vehi cl e servi ced if : Do not try to remove or rep lace a n ya i r b a gb yy o u r s e l f .T h i sm u s t be done by an a ut horized dealer or a k nowle dgeable body shop.

− If you are not wearing a sea t belt in a cr a sh, y ou could be thrown f orward and crus h the child aga inst the dashboar d or a seat-b ack. If you are we arin g a sea t belt , t he c hild ca n be t or n f rom yo ur arms an d be serio us ly hurt or k illed.
Only a rea r -f acing ch ild sea t prov ides proper support f or a ba by’ s hea d, neck, and bac k. A n inf ant must be prope rly res t ra ined in a rea r -f a cing, reclining child sea t unt il t he child reac hes t he sea t maker ’s w eight or he ight limit f or the seat , a nd t he child is at lea st one year o ld.
Of the d if f eren t seats availab le , we rec ommend t hose t ha t hav e a f ive- poi nt harness system as sh own. In any of these situat ions, we st rongly r ecomme nd t hat you inst all t he child se at dire ct ly behind the f ront passenger’s seat, move the seat as f ar f orward as n eed ed, and le ave i t unoccupied.

When not using t he L A T CH syst em, all chi ld seats must be secured t o the ve hicle w it h t he lap par t of a lap/ shoulder belt . Wi th the ch il d s ea t i n th e de si red sea t ing posit ion, r out e t he belt t hrough t he child sea t accor ding to the seat maker’s i nstruct ion s, th en in s er t the l atc h p l ate i nto the buckle.

A chi ld seat wi th a tether c an be inst a lled in a ny s ea t ing posit ion in th e ba ck s ea t. Each rear outs ide se at ing pos it ion has an anc hora ge point on t he s eat - b ac k, and the ce n ter s ea ti n g po si ti o n has an anc hora ge point in t he c eiling ne ar the tailg ate.

W hen a child rea ches t he rec ommended w eight or height limit fo r a fo r w a r d - fa c i n g c h i l d s e a t , th e child shou ld sit in a back sea t on a boost er seat and w ea r a lap/shoulder belt .

A child ma y cont inue using a boost er sea t until the tops of t h eir ears are ev en with the top of the ve h i c l e’ s o r b o o ste r ’s s ea t-b ack .

T he lock ta b on e ac h pas senge r’s door loc ks a nd unlock s only tha t door. Pulling up the driver ’s lock t ab only unlock s t he drive r’s door. T o unlock only the drive r’s door f r om t he out side, t ur n t he k ey a nd r elea se it.
T he t a ilgat e will lock or unlock when you lock or unlock the dr iv er’ s door by using t he key, t he lock t ab on t he driv er ’s door , t he ma st e r door lock sw i tc h or th e rem ote tran sm i tter (i f equipped). T o open t he ta ilgat e , pull t he handle, t hen lif t up.
T o close the t a ilga t e, hold t h e t ailga t e ha ndle, lower the t a ilga t e, then press down o n the back edge. K e ep t he ta ilgat e closed a t all t imes while driving t o a v oid da maging t he ta ilgate and to prevent exhaust gas f r om get t ing int o the int e rior .
