Clock Adjustm ent 15 C l o c k A d j u s t m e n t Accurate clock time is a must for all types of timer recording. Y our TV/VCR Combination will accurately maintain its calendar up to Dec. 31, 2012, 11:59 PM, once you hav e set the present day and ti me.
Clock Adjustm ent 16 To Display the Date and Time Press the Recall button f our times to show the date and time ov erlay on the TV screen. See "VCR Status Di splay" on page 8 for detail s. To Reset the C lock If you want to r eset the clock at some later time, press the Prog button while y ou are watching TV.
Channel Memor y 17 C h a n n e l M e m o r y The Channel Up/ Dow n keys may be set to stop only on the channels in your ar ea assigned to them from the 181 channel memory . In the channel auto set mode you can select "C ATV" to receive cable channels or leave "TV" selected to receive br oadcast channels.

To Watch TV 20 Bright Control This control lets y ou adjust the brightness of the picture. Picture Control This control lets y ou adjust the intensity of the pictur e. It does this by adjusting contr ast and color level at the same time and in the proper balance.
Special Playback Features 21 Special Play back Features After you are familiar with tape playback (see pag e 4, "To Playback"), you are ready to enjoy the special pl ayback features described on this pag e. These features work best in the SLP mode.
Special Playback Features 22 To A dv ance a Still Picture 1 In still mode, press the Frame A dv ance button on the remote control. Frame advance will only operate during still. The picture will slowly advance frame by frame while this button is held down.
Special Playback Features 23 Tracking Control Press the Tracking control (Up/ D ow n) buttons on y our remote control. Manual Tracking adjustment is intended for use during playback, slow motion, and double speed play back to minimiz e noise in the picture.

One Touc h Recording 25 One Touch Recording OTR is easy and convenient way to immediately start recording a TV progr am you happen to be watching (Instant OTR). It is also j ust as easy to set up a delayed star t time recording ( Standby OTR), w ithout progr amming the timer .
One Touc h Recording 26 A . Instant OTR Recording starts instantly. Y ou can set the recording l ength in 30 minute periods up to 4 hours total , or to the end of the tape. Occasion for use: For normal r ecording of TV programs. W hen an unexpected guest or call i s received.
One Touc h Recording 27 Picture of Remote Buttons Occasion for use: W hen a program you w ant to watch is g oing to be broadcast w hile you are asleep, out, or other wise engag ed. Operation 1 Select a channel to be recorded usi ng the Channel Up/ Dow n or Numeric key s on the remote control.
Timer Recording 28 T i m e r R e c o r d i n g The timer feature lets y ou set the TV/VCR Combination from the remote control to do unattended recor ding. For each prog ram you set, the TV/VCR Combination will turn itself on at the scheduled time and do the recording automatically .
Timer Recording 29 For daily and weekly recordings r ef er to page 20. To make corrections in on-scr een entries, press the Clear button or the Channel Dow n key to mov e the f lashing indication one space to the left. Move thi s flashing indication ov er the numbers y ou want to change.
