Assembl y T M 3 • Pull firmly to separate the two b lack motor harness connectors near the rear of the vehicle fr ame. • P osition the vehicle body on top of the v ehicle frame. • Fit each motor harness connector up through the rectangular opening in the vehicle body , one at a time.
12 Assembl y 7 T M • The right f ootboard was inserted in the vehicle frame at the f actor y . Make sure the right footboard is in place . • Insert two #8 x 3 / 4 " screws into the right footboard as shown. Tighten the screws with a Phillips scre wdriver .
Assembl y 13 T M 11 Right Exhaust Pipe T M 10 Right Exhaust Pipe - Outer Half • Fit the outer half of the right e xhaust pipe (R) to the inner half of the right exhaust pipe .
Assembl y 14 Axle Bushing V ehicle F rame Rear Fo rk Arm Groov e Rear Fo rk Arm Wheel (with He x Busings) 16 • P osition the vehicle assemb ly so that the bac k is f acing you. • While holding the he x bushings in place, position the wheel between the rear f ork ar ms of the v ehicle frame .
Assembl y T M Steering Bushing Steering Bushing V ehicle F rame Neck • P osition the vehicle fr ame so that the front f aces you. • Fit a steering bushing on top of the nec k of the vehicle fr ame. • Fit the other steering bushing underneath the neck.
16 Assembl y .354 (Small Diameter) Cap Nut F ork Axle • Place a .354 (small diameter) cap n ut on a flat surf ace, inside up . • Fit the end of the f or k axle into the cap nut. • T ap the opposite end of the fork axle with a hammer to secure the cap nut on the axle.
Assembl y T M 26 • Slide the right and left handlebars through the holes in the front f ork. • Align the scre w holes in each handlebar with the scre w holes in the front f ork. • Insert a #8 x 3 / 4 " screw through each front f ork and into each lo wer hole in each handlebar .
• Being careful to k eep the shocks correctly positioned, align the hole in a shock with the hole in the handlebar . Slide the remaining wheel axle with .437 cap nut (assembled in step 13) thr ough one shock. Hint: If the hole in the shock and handlebar do not align, the front f ender is not properly seated on the front fork.
Assembl y 19 • Loosen the scre w in the sound bo x battery compar tment door using a Phillips screwdriv er and open the batter y compar tment. • Insert three “AA” (LR6) alkaline batter ies in the sound bo x as indicated in the batter y compartment.
T M Note: Y ou may want to install the P ower Wheels ® 6 volt batteries before assemb ling the seat. Please see “Battery Installation” on page 24 for detailed instructions. • Fit the tab on the front of the seat into the slot near the gas tank.
Assembl y • Fit a mirror lens to a mirror housing. • Insert a #8 x 1 / 2 " screw through the back of the mirror housing into the mirror lens. Tighten the screw with a Phillips screwdriv er . Do not ov er-tighten. • Repeat this procedure to assemb le the other mirror lens to the remaining mirror housing.
Label Decoration G 22 Proper label application will help to keep the labels looking their best! When applying labels, keep the follo wing guidelines in mind: • W ash your hands bef ore applying the labels. • Bef ore applying the labels, wipe the surface of the v ehicle with a clean, dr y cloth to remov e any dust or oils .

24 T M IMPORT ANT! Use only P ow er Wheels ® 6 v olt batteries with A-style connectors and built-in thermal fuses. Po wer Wheels ® 6 v olt batteries with external thermal fuses will not fit in the battery compar tment of this vehic le. Use of any other batteries or fuses will damage your vehicle .
25 If a battery leak develops, av oid contact with the leaking acid and place the damaged batter y in a plastic bag. See inf or mation belo w f or proper disposal. If acid comes in contact with skin or eyes, flush with cool water f or at least 15 minutes and call a ph ysician.

27 • Press the DRIVE and LO W SPEED b uttons on the console. • Press the f oot pedal. The vehicle will drive f orward at a maximum of 2 1 / 2 mph. • Help y our child practice steering to learn how far and ho w quickly to turn the handlebar when driving forward in lo w speed.
28 • Press the DRIVE and LO W SPEED b uttons on the console. • Press the f oot pedal to move f orward in low speed. With the f oot pedal pressed and the vehicle already mo ving f orward, press the HIGH SPEED b utton on the console to shift the vehicle into high speed.
