20 Connecting to an An tenna/Cable TV 1. Connect one e nd of the VHF/UHF (Antenna) or CA TV cable to ANT Jack (VHF/UHF IN Jack) on the back of the TV . 2. Connect the other end of the VHF/UHF (Antenna) or CA TV cable to the Antenna socket or CA TV cable.
21 Connecting to A V De vices Connect external devices such as VCD/DVD players or VCRs to the TV using the A V1 and A V2 ports on the back o f the TV . Connecting to a VCR, VCD or DVD Player The illustration presented here shows how to connect your TV to a VCR, VCD or DVD player .
22 Connecting to a Video Camera The illustration presented here shows how to connect your TV to a camcorder or other type of digit al camera. Actual connections vary according to the make and model o f the device. Note The cables are colo r-coded (black, red, white, yellow).
23 Connecting Exter nal Speak ers and Headphones Headphones or externa l speakers may be used to listen to the TV instead of the built-in speakers. Connect your h eadphones to the speaker/head phone line out port as illustrated. Notes • External speakers or headphones are not included with the produ ct.
24 Connecting the P ow er Adapter 1. Connect the power cord to t he power adapter as illustrated. 2. Plug the power adapte r connector into the DC-IN on the rea r panel of the TV . 3. Insert the three-pronged plug at the other end of the power cor d into a powe r outlet.
25 Using the R emote Control For best results, use the remo te control within a dist ance of 5 meters from the front of the TV’ s signal sensor . Do not exceed an angle of 30 degrees when pointing at the signa l sensor . Refer to the following illustration.
26 T ur ning the TV On and Off 1. Press the PO WER button; the power indicator LED changes from red to green , indicating that the power has been turned on. 2. Press the POWER button again; the power indicator LED changes from green to red, indi - cating that the TV is in standby (off) mode.
27 Switching Source Signals Press the SOURCE button on the remote control or the SOURCE button on the control p anel to select the incoming source sig- nal. The current source setting CH xx appears on the top lef t corner of the screen, A V1 or A V2 appears on the bottom right corner of the screen.

29 Brightness 1. Press MENU to enter the OSD menus. 2. Press the CH U P button or CH D OWN butto n to select Brightn ess. 3. Press MENU . The brightness slide bar is highlighted. 4. Press the CH UP button to increase the brightness. 5. Press the CH DO WN button to decrease the brightness.

33 Saturation 1. Press the CH DOWN button or CH UP button to select Saturation. 2. Press MENU to enter the Saturation submenu. 3. Press the CH UP button to increase the saturation. 4. Press the CH DO WN button to decrease the saturation. 5. Press MENU to confirm the setting and return to the V ideo Setting menu.
34 Sharpness 1. Press the CH DOWN button or CH UP button to select Sharpness. 2. Press MENU to enter the SHARP - NESS submenu. 3. Press the CH UP button to increase the sharpness. 4. Press the CH DO WN button to decrease the sharpness. 5. Press MENU to confirm the setting and return to the V ideo Setting menu.
35 Color T emperature 1. Press the CH DOWN button or CH UP button to select Color T emp. 2. Press MENU to enter the Color T em - perature submenu. There are three default color temperatures to Choo se from. St andard Color Press the CH DOWN button or CH UP button to select S tandard, then press MENU .
36 Audio Setting Press the MENU button to enter OSD Main Menu screen. 1. Press the CH DOWN button o r CH UP button to select Audio Setting. 2. Press MENU to enter the Audio Setting menu.
37 Tr e b l e 1. Press the CH DOWN button or CH UP button to select T reble. 2. Press MENU to enter the treble submenu. 3. Press the CH UP button to increase the treble. 4. Press the CH DO WN button to decrease the treble. 5. Press MENU to confirm the setting and return to the Audio Setting menu.
38 Bass 1. Press the CH DOWN button or CH UP button to select Bass. 2. Press MENU to enter the Bass sub - menu. 3. Press the CH UP button to increase the bass. 4. Press the CH DO WN button to decrease the bass. 5. Press MENU to confirm the setting and return to the Audio Setting menu.
39 Balance 1. Press the CH DOWN button or CH UP button to select Balance. 2. Press MENU to enter the Balance submenu. 3. Press the CH DO WN button to shift the balance to the lef t speaker . 4. Press the CH UP button to shif t the balance to the right speaker .
40 Mute 1. Press the CH DOWN button or CH UP button to select Mute. 2. Press MENU to enter the Mute sub - menu. 3. Press the CH UP button to turn the mute off. 4. Press the CH DO WN button to turn the mute on. 5. Press MENU to confirm the setting and return to the Audio Setting menu.

44 Auto Program 1. Press the CH DOWN button or CH UP button to select Auto Program. 2. Press MENU to enter the Auto Pro - gram Setting submenu. 3. Press the CH DOWN button or CH UP button to select O N or OFF and press MENU . The screen shows “Auto Program.

48 Miscellaneous Setting Press the MENU button to enter OSD Main Menu screen. 1. Press the CH DOWN button or CH UP button to select Miscel- laneous Setting.
49 Language 1. Press the CH DOWN button or CH UP button to select Language. 2. Press MENU to enter the Language submenu. 3. The screen displays the available OSD languages: English and T - Chinese (Traditional Chinese). 4. Press the CH DO WN button and the CH UP button to select a language.
50 Sleep Timer The sleep timer turns the TV of f automatically after a set pe riod of time. 1. Press the CH DOWN button or CH UP button to select Sleeper . 2. Press MENU to enter the Sleeper submenu. 3. The screen displays the available sleep timer setting: Of f, 30, 60, 90, and 120 minutes.
