13 Getting to Know Y our LifeBook BATTERY CHARGING INDICAT ORS Located to the left of each Battery Level indicator is a small arrow symbol. This sy mbol shows whether that specific battery is chargi ng. This indicator will flash if the battery is too hot or cold to charge.

Once y ou hav e connected your A C adapter or charged the internal Lithium ion battery , you can power on yo ur LifeBook noteb ook.

37 User Installable Features Lithium ion Battery Y our LifeBook notebook has a Lithium ion battery that pro vides power for operating your not ebook when no exte rnal power sour ce is a vailable. The batte r y is durable and long lasting , but should not b e exposed to extreme temperatures, high voltages, chem icals or other ha zards.
38 LifeBook S7000 Notebo ok Dead Battery Suspend mode sho ws on the Status indi- cator just lik e the normal Standby mode. Once y our notebook goes into Dead Battery Suspend mode y ou will be unable t o resume operation until y ou pro vide a source of power either fr om an adapter , or a charged battery .

(co ntinued) Y our operating system soft- ware is not set up w ith correct software driver for that dev ice. Check your device and operating system docu- mentation and activate the pr oper driver .
55 T roubleshooting A card inserted in the ExpressCard slot does not work or is locking up the system. (co ntinued) The card ma y ha ve been installed while an applicati on was running, so your notebook is not awar e of its installation. Close the application and restart your notebook.
