Important n otes • The device must only be operated in landsc ape mode (0°) and portrait mode (90°). The control buttons are located in the middle of the bottom of the monitor in landscape mode (0°) and at the left-hand side of the monitor i n portrait mode (90°).

Getting started Setting up an ergonomic video w orkstation 1 ► Do not position the video workstation opposite a window (1). 1 ► Position the monitor outside the reach of a light source (1). 1 ► Position the keyboard where it is easiest to reach (1).

Getting started Adjusting the height The height of the monitor can be adjusted by ap proximately 120 mm. ► Grasp the monitor with both hands on the right and left edge of the casing and move it upward or downward.
Getting sta rted Removing monitor base Before you can use a swivel arm or a wall bracket, you must rem ove the monitor base. The display surface is suscept ible to scratching! ► Switch off the monitor and pull the power plug out of the power socket.
Getting started Connecting the device Please observe the safety information in "Im portan t notes", P age 3 . CE conformance and optimum picture quality are guaranteed only if you use the data cables supplied. ► Switch off t he monitor and the computer .
Getting sta rted 1 2 3 4 5 0 - ECO / BASIC 1 = Green standby mode sw itch 2 = Power connector 3 = AUDIO-IN socket 4 = DVI-D socket (DVI) 5 = D-SUB socket (VGA) ► Connect one of the connectors of the data cable to the D-SUB socke t or DVI-D socket of the monitor and secure the plug-in connection by tightening the sa fety screws.
Operation Operation Switching the device on and off 2 1 1 = Power supply indicator 2 = ON/OFF s witch Press the buttons from the bottom up. The colour of the LED indicator changes as follows: LED indicator Status blue Monitor and computer are s witched on (normal mode).
Operation In switch position "0" (ECO), green standby mode is activated, in which the monitor consumes ≤ 0.1 W. If the monitor cannot be switched on and remains dark, the switch must be set to "-" (BASIC ). The monitor then consumes < 1 W in standby mode.
Operation Changing the monitor settings When putting the monitor into operation for the fi rst time, the screen display should be optimally adapted to the display adapter used. Changing the monitor settings with the buttons of the control panel The buttons of the control panel have two functions.
Operation Activate/ deactivate ECO operat ing mode The power consumption of the device can be decreased b y reducing the brightness of the picture. ► Press the Forwards / ECO button to switch the E CO operating mode on or off. The message ECO on / off is displayed.
Operation The OSD menu is available in various languages. The English menu names are used in the following description (default setting). Y ou can select another language using t he OSD Language function in the OSD S etup menu. ► Press the SELECT/MENU button to activate the OSD menu.
Operation If you wish to change other settings, select the corresponding functi on from the OSD main menu. All possible adjustments of the main menu are described below. OSD menu functions The OSD menu for analog monitor operation is described below .

Operation Displaying inf ormation Call the Information setting w indow With this function the model designation, serial number , resolution, H/V frequency , input signal and polarity of the synchronisation signal are displayed.
T roubleshooting T roubleshooting Should an error occur , fi rst check t he following points. If the distortion is still not eliminated, the monitor should, if possible, be checked on a nother computer . If you are unable to solve the problem, please inform our help desk.
T roubleshootin g Having th is problem ? Check the following points: Picture dis turbances (ve rtical lines) ► Press the EXIT / AUT O button to perform auto-adjustment of the screen. Picture disturbances (horizontal lines, picture noise) ► Press the EXIT / AUT O button to perform auto-adjustment of the screen.
