EN-1 T o the Owner Before operating this projector, read this manual thoroughly and operate the projector properly. This projector provides many convenient features and functions. Operating the projector properly enables you to manage those features and maintains it in better condition for a considerable time.

EN-15 Installing the Batteries 1. Open the battery cover in the direction shown. 2. Install batteries a s indicated by the diagra m inside the compartment. 3. Close the battery cover into position. Keep the batteries out of the re ach of children. There is a da nger of death by accidentally swallowing the battery.

EN-18 Powering On/Off the Projector Powering on the projector: 1 . Remove the projector lens ca p. 2 . Complete the AC power cord a nd peripheral signal cable(s) connections. 3 . Press ON / S T AND-BY button to turn on the projector. 4. Turn on your source (computer , notebook, D V D, etc.
EN-19 Adjusting the Projected Image Adjusting the Projector Height The projector is equipped with two elevator feet to adjust the image height up to 9.0 degrees. T o raise the image: 1 . Press the elevator button. 2. Raise the image to the desired height a ngle, then relea se the button to lock the elevator feet into position.
EN-20 Adjusting the Projector Zoom and Focus 1 . Adjust the image by rotating the zoom ring. Rotate to the right to reduce the image. Rotate to the left to enlarge the image. 2 . Focus the image by rotating the focus ring. A still i mage is re commended for f ocusing.
EN-21 Position the projector in a horizontal position; other positions ca n cause heat build-up a nd da mage to the projector. Ma ke sure the heat ventilation holes are not blocked. Do not use the projector in a smoky environment. Smoke residue may cause buildup on critical parts.
EN-22 Menu Operation The projector ha s multilingual On Screen Display menus that allow you to ma ke image adjustments and change a variety of settings.
EN-23 How to operate 1 . Press MENU button to open the OSD menu. 2 . When OSD is displayed, use S / T buttons to select any feature in the main menu. After selecting the desired main menu feature, press X button to enter sub-menu for feature setting. 3 .
EN-24 Picture (Computer Mode) Brightness Adjusts brightness of the image. Press W to darken the image. Press X to lighten the image. Contra st Adjusts contra st of the image. Press W to decrea se the contra st. Press X to increa se the contra st.
EN-25 Picture (Video Mode) Brightness Adjusts the brightness of the image. Contra st Adjusts contra st of the image. Sharpness Adjusts the sharpness of the image. Color Adjusts the color saturation of the image. Tint Adjusts the color balance of red and green.

EN-29 Setting (Computer / Video Mode) Menu Position Choose the menu location on the display screen. Mounting Front-Desktop The factory default setting. Front-Ceiling When you select this function, the projector turns the image upside down for ceiling- mounted projection.
EN-30 Sound (Computer / Video Mode) V olume Press W to decrea se the volume. Press X to increa se the volume. Mute Choose “ON” to turn mute on. Choose “OFF” to turn mute off. Advanced (Computer / Video Mode) Factory Default Press X to enter its menu.
EN-31 Maintenance The projector needs proper maintena nce. Y ou should keep the lens clea n a s dust, dirt or spots will project on the screen and diminish image quality. If any other parts need replacing, contact your dealer or qualified service personnel.
EN-32 T urn off the projector and remove the AC power cord from the power outlet before beginning maintena nce work. Ma ke sure the lens is cool before cle a ning. Do not use detergents or chemicals other tha n those noted above. Do not use benzene or thinners.
EN-33 Replacing the Lamp Projector la mps have a finite life. Repla ce the la mp when: A warning message “La mp is a pproa ching the end of its useful life in full power operation. Repla cement suggested!” a ppears on the screen. The image becomes darker a nd hues become wea ker after a la mp ha s been for a long period of time.

EN-39 Symptom Remote control doesn’t work. Cause The batteries could be weak. The polarity is not correct. The remote control is not being used within the effective range. There are some obstructions between the remote control and projector. There are some fluorescent or other bright lights shining at the projector’s infrared remote sensor.
EN-40 Serial Control Interface This projector provides a function to control the projector's operations by using the RS-232C serial port. Connection and Operation Connect a RS-232C serial cross cable to RS-232C PORT on the projector and serial port on the PC.
