2 Safety and warnings Impor tant safety precautions For y our sa fety , follow basic precautions when using your dishw asher, including the following: Please read all instructions before operating your dishw asher.
3 Safety and warnings Installation This dishw asher must be installed and positioned in accordanc e with the ‘Installation instructions’ before it is used. The installing plumber and electrician are responsible for ensuring that installation complies with applicable laws and regulations .
4 Installation instructions Before y ou star t Carefully read thr ough the ‘Safety and warnings’ section of this document. Check the packaging and the dishwasher for signs of transport damage. If there is any damage , do not install the dishwasher but contact your F isher & Paykel Authorised Service Centre or dealer .

7 Installation instructions Connecting the water inlet hose Impor tant! The appliance should be connected to the w ater main using only the new hose supplied with the dishw asher . Old hose sets should not be used. 1 Check water connection requirements.
8 Installation instructions Electrical connection Ensure all domestic wiring is properly earthed. Ensure the voltage and fr equency values for the current in your home corr espond to those on the rating plate and that the electrical system is correct for the maximum v oltage on the rating plate.

12 Using y our dishwasher Notes: W e do not recommend opening the dish washer door when a wash programme is running . I f you need to open the door , see ‘Pausing a wash prog ramme’ for instructions on pausing and resuming a wash programme . T ake care when you open the door as there may be a rush of steam.
13 Using y our dishwasher Pausing a wash pr ogramme after the keylock has been aut omatically activated 1 Deactivate the keylock (see instructions above). 2 When the display shows KEY LOCK DEACTIVATED , pr ess the button. The display will show PAUSED and then PRESS TO CONTINUE .
14 Using y our dishwasher W ash progess display As the wash programme advances thr ough the c ycle, the f ollowing can be display ed on the screen: Display What’ s happening WASHING The dishwasher is r emoving food fr om the dishes and detergent is dispensed.
15 Using y our dishwasher W arning displays The dishwasher can alert you to some problems . Should one of the following warnings be displayed, check the table belo w and eliminate the problem if possible. W arning display What to do DOOR IS OPEN Close the door .
16 W ash progr amme char t The consumption values abov e are only appro ximate and the exac t figures depend on water temperatur e, conditions of the surrounding envir onment and the type of dish load. The average values abo ve are based on 20 o C incoming water temperatures .
17 Loading the dish washer Loading tips Remove all f ood scraps from dishes befor e loading them into the dishwasher . Cups, glasses and bo wls must have their openings facing down wards. Dishes and cutlery should not be placed above each other . Place glasses so they do not touch each other .
18 Loading the dish washer Using the cutlery basket The cutlery basket can be split into three sections and its grid inser ts may also be remo ved. The smaller cutlery basket sec tions also fit in the upper basket (as shown in F ig. 21). Place long items such as ladles, cooking spoons etc.
19 Loading the dish washer Using the adjustable cup racks on the lo wer basket Use these racks for cups , glasses, long-handled cutlery and other utensils (see Fig .12). If you don ’t need them, you can easily f old them away . S ee the instructions below .
20 Loading the dish washer T o adjust the height of a cup rack (Fig. 14) T o adjust the height of a cup rack, follow steps 1 to 3 abo ve, then lo wer the rack back into a horizontal position, making sure that you keep it at the uppermost point of the wire support.
21 Loading the dish washer Loading the upper basket Adjusting the height of the upper basket (Fig .16) Y ou may lo wer or lift the upper basket to suit your needs, ev en with the basket fully loaded. Y ou do not hav e to remo ve the basket from the dishwasher .
22 Using the glass support inser t Lean glasses or goblets with long stems against the glass support inser t (as shown in F ig. 18) or the cup rack, but never against other dishes or each other . Doing so may make them unstable during a wash programme, and they ma y get damaged.
23 Caring f or your dinner ware The combination of high temperatur es and dishwasher detergent ma y cause damage to some items if they are washed in the dish washer . Remember , if in any doubt about any aspect concerning items washed in the dish washer , follow the instructions from the manufacturer of the items, or wash the item b y hand.
24 Dishw asher standards test Fisher & P aykel dishwashers are test ed to AS/NZS 2007 standards f or both wash and dr y per formanc e. The following ar e loading patterns and detergent quantities used f or the dishwasher . W ash programme Auto Detergent quantity 32.
25 Using rinse aid Fig . 25 Rinse aid dispenser 1013 Locking lever Setting dial Lid W e highly recommend using liquid rinse aid r egularly to achieve the best drying results. Rinse aid gives a streak -free, sparkling clean look to glass and chinaware.
26 Adding dish washer detergent Impor tant! Dishwasher detergents are strongly alk aline and can be dangerous if swallow e d. Av oid contact with skin and eyes.
27 1032 Car e and cleaning General Clean your dishwasher r egularly for best performance and to reduce the risk of pr oblems occurring. Always disconnect the dishwasher plug fr om the power outlet and turn off the water supply befor e cleaning. Use a gentle household cleaner for the outside and the door seals.
28 Problem Possible cause What to do Unclean dishes Improper loading or dishwasher overloaded . Spray arms are not turning . Clogged filters. Filt ers are not positioned correctly . Spray arm nozzles are clogged . Detergent is moist or clumping . T oo little detergent.
29 T roubleshooting Problem Possible cause What to do The dishes are not drying Dishes being remov ed too early . Do not empty your dishwasher immediately after washing. Open the door slightly so that the steam can escape. Begin unloading the dishwasher when the dishes are warm to the touch.
30 Problem Possible cause What to do Detergent residue r emains in the dispenser Moisture in the detergent dispenser . The lid of the detergent dispenser does not open. Detergent is moist or clumping . Spray arm nozzles are clogged . Ensure that the detergent dispenser is dry before filling it.
31 T roubleshooting Problem Possible cause What to do F oam The dishes were pr e -washed by hand with a large amount of detergent. Spilled rinse aid. The cov er of the rinse aid dispenser was not closed. Dishes do not need to be prewashed. Remove large f ood scraps from the dishes befor e loading.
