~ 17 ~ IDLE MOD E This is the default operating mode . * The LCD will show the following screen and icon placement in th e IDLE mode : * If there is no on-going activity, the handset automatically goes into SLEEP / IDLE mode to save battery powe r. * The handset can be turned off completely by holding down th e END key for 3 seconds.
~ 19 ~ * Do not register your handset if it has been registered at the factory. If, when you first turn on the phone, "00" is displaye d near the top center of the LCD (to the right of the icon) , the handset has not been registered at the factory .
