A utoPilot Manager Utility Elements The AutoPilot Manager uti lity windo w contains fi ve basic elements: • Menu bar •T o o l b a r • Discov ery tree • Property pages • Status bar The element you select in the discov ery tree determines whether a menu item or toolbar icon is active.

Discovery T ree The discov ery tree (left pane) displays icons representing discovered network (SAN) elements such as local hos t name, system host names and all HB As that are acti ve on each host. Storage tar gets, LUNs and fabrics, when present, are also displayed.

In the directory tree, click the HBA you want to reset. 2. Do one of the following: • From the menu bar , click Adapter , and then click Reset Ad apter .

The Fabric Information page displays the following: • Number of Adapters- the number of NetWin 110 HB As discov ered by this host on the sel ected fabric.

NetWin 110 HBA User’s Gui de Page 1-13 P ers istent Binding Co nfiguration Persistent binding enables y ou to permanently assign a SCSI ID to a specific target after it has been discov ered. Discov ery occurs each time a system boots or when a de vi ce is added to or remo ved from the SAN.

NetWin 110 HBA User’s Guide Page 3-1 3. BIOS Utility Configuration Guide The BIOS utility allows you to change HB A parameters (suc h as topology , PLOGI retry timer and auto scan setting) and configure boot de vices. Default settings are acceptable for most installations.
NetWin 110 HBA User’s Guide Page 3-2 3.2. Enabling the BIOS on an HB A By default, the BIOS is disabled on all HBAs. T o use any of its features, the BIOS must be enabled on at least one installed adapter . T o enable the BIOS on an HB A, do the following: 1.
