T urn the notebook bottom side up with the front facing forward. b . Make sure the external battery pack is located behind the notebook rear panel.
5–6 Maintenance and Ser vice Guide Remov al and Replacement Procedures 5.4 Computer Feet The base feet are adhesi ve-backed rubber pads. The base feet are included in the Miscellaneous Plastics Kit (spare part number 231454-001). Refer to Figure 5-4 for the locations of the notebook feet.

5–10 Maintenance and Ser vice Guide Remov al and Replacement Procedures 7. Lift up the back edge of the palm rest 1 until the R TC battery 2 and T ouchPad cables 3 pre vent it from lifting any farther (Figure 5-7).

Remov e the R TC battery from the retaining clip 1 (Figure 5-9). ✎ The R TC battery is included in the Miscellaneous Plastics Kit (spare part number 231454-001). 11. Disconnect the T ouchPad cable 2 from the connector on the T ouchPad.
Remov al and Replacement Procedures Maintenance and Ser vice Guide 5–13 ✎ Evo Notebook N400c models only —Models with pointing stick ke yboards hav e a pointing stick button cable that needs to be disconnected prior to removing the palm rest. Perform Steps 12 and 13 before removing the palm rest on a pointing stick model.
