10 EN C ONNECTION [C omponent V ideo Cable Connection] Component video connection offers better picture quality for video devic es connected to the unit. Use a component video cable to connect the unit to external video devices equipped with component video output jacks.

If you connect to the unit’ s VIDEO 1 video input jack, connect RCA audio cables to the audio L/R jacks of VIDEO 1.

16 EN W ATCHING TV Still Mode You can freeze the image shown on the TV screen. Press [STILL] to pause the image shown on the screen. Still The sound output will not be paused. If no signal is detected or protected signal is received during still mode, the image remains paused and the sound output will be muted.

TV 1 Press [AUDIO] to display the currently selected audio mode. While receiving an MTS br oadcast, press repeatedly t o c ycle through the a vailable audio channel.
18 EN W ATCHING TV Screen Information You can display the currently selected channel or other information such as the audio mode on the TV screen. TV In the analog mode, the current channel number and the audio mode are displayed.
19 EN WATCHING TV INTRODUCTION CONNECTION INITIAL SETTING OPTIONAL SETTING TROUBLESHOOTING INFORMATION TV Screen Display Mode 4 types of display modes can be selected when the broadcasting station is sending 4:3 or 16:9 video signal. Press [SCREEN MODE] repeatedly to switch the TV aspect ratio.
20 EN W ATCHING TV Sleep Timer The sleep timer can be set to automatically turn off the unit after an incremental period of time. 1 Press [SLEEP] to set the sleep timer. Sleep Off Sleep timer display appears on the TV screen. 2 Press [SLEEP] repeatedly to change the amount of time until shut off.
