Connecting to External A V Source The player supports an A V signal input func tion. Use the audio/video cable to connect the unit to an external A V signal source su ch as a DVD, VCR etc. After connecting, press the IN/OUT button to enter A V Input statement.
Using the AC Adapter The player is supplied with an AC adapt er for powering the unit and charging the battery . Note: 1. T urn player's power off before unplugging. 2. In the case of using the adapter , the LCD screen will be brighter than using the rechargeable battery .
About Rechargeable Ba ttery Pack Y our portable DVD pla yer comes with a lithium ion rechargeable battery that attaches to the bottom of the DVD player . Charge the battery fully before initial use. Charging time is normally about 5 hours. A fully char ged battery delivers about 3 hours of use but playing time varies from disc to disc.
Attaching the Battery Pack Refer to the following steps for attaching the Battery Pack: 1. With one hand on the DVD Player to prevent it fr om moving, take the battery and align the plastic tabs on the battery pa ck with holes on the player, and push the battery pack into the DVD Player.
Detaching the Battery Pack When being turned off, the DVD Player still consumes some power in standby mode. This will eventually discharge the battery. If the DVD Player is not going to be used for long periods of time, the battery pack should be detached.

Preference Page 3. Contrast This item is used to adjust contrast level of the Screen. Press the or button to highligh t this item. Press the ENT or to enter the item. Press the or button to adjust to desired lev el. The default level is 00.
3. Disc Menu This item is used to set the lang uage of disc menu . Press the or butto n to highlight this item. Press the ENT or button to enter th e item. The available languages are Engli sh, French, S panish, Chine se, Japanese, Kore an, Russian and Thai, English by default.
Letterbox screen This refers to a scre en on w hich the playback p icture of wide-sc reen DVD s appears with black bands runni ng along the top and bot tom. Pan & Scan screen This refers to a s creen on w hich the playback pi cture of w ide-scre en DVDs is cut of f at t he left and right sid es.
If you suspect t here is something w rong with t he DVD player , immediately turn the power o ff. Disconnect t he power con nector and c heck that ther e is no smok e or excessiv e heat comi ng from the unit. Never open or t ry to rep air the unit yourself.
