The oven is vented at the front above the oven door (ceramic glass cooktop models) or through the right rear element (coil element models). 7 Setting Surface Controls Ceramic Glass Cooktop Fig. 2 About the Ceramic Glass Cooktop The ceramic cooktop has radiant surface elements located below the surface of the glass. The design of the ceramic cooktop outlines the area of the surface element underneath.
8 Setting Surface Controls The Electronic Surface Element Control (ESEC) The Electronic Surface Element Control (“ESEC”) feature includes digital display windows. The ESEC feature provides a numeric digital setting for the radiant surface element positions on the cooktop.
9 Setting Surface Controls Fig. 3 Fig. 1 The Single Radiant Surface Elements This model has single radiant surface elements at 2 locations; the right rear (Fig. 1) and the left rear (Fig. 3) element positions. The Bridge element position can also be used as a single element (See Bridge Element Operating instructions).
10 The Bridge Surface Radiant Element This model is equipped with a “BRIDGE” surface element located at the left front and middle (See Fig. 6) positions. The Bridge can be used when cooking with rectangular (like a griddle) or oval shaped cookware.
11 Surface Cooking (Continued) Figure 2 Selecting Surface Cooking Cookware Cookware should have flat bottoms that make good contact with the entire surface heating element. Check for flatness by rotating a ruler across the bottom of the cookware (See Figure 1).
12 Before Setting Oven Controls Refer to the Electronic Oven Control Guide for oven settings. Setting Oven Controls 4 3 2 1 Removing and Replacing Oven Racks To remove , pull the rack forward until it stops. Lift up front of rack and slide out. To replace , fit the rack onto the guides on the oven walls.
13 Arranging Warmer (W arm & Ready™) Drawer Rac k P ositions The rack can be used in 2 ways: • In the upright position to allow low profile food items to be placed both under and on top of the rack (for example, rolls or biscuits on top of the rack and a casserole dish underneath).
14 Cooking Informations Oven Baking For best cooking results, heat the oven before baking cookies, breads, cakes, pies or pastries, etc. The cooking times and temperatures needed to bake a product may vary slightly from your previously owned appliance.
15 Cooking Informations Broiling Broiling is a method of cooking tender cuts of meat by direct heat under the broil element of the oven. Preheating Preheating is suggested when searing rare steaks. (Remove the broiler pan before preheating. Foods will stic k if placed on hot metal.

18 Care & Cleaning During the self-clean- ing cycle, the outside of the wall oven can become very hot to the touch. DO NO T leave small children unattended near the appliance. The health of some birds is extremely sensitive to the fumes given off during the self-clean cycle of any wall oven.
19 Changing Oven Light Be sure the ov en is unplugged and all par ts are COOL before replacing the ov en light bulb . Do not tur n the oven light on during the self-cleaning cycle. High temperature will reduce lamp life. The interior oven light will turn on automatically when the oven door is opened.

Screw in the levelling legs under the range. 2 . Remove the r acks and other utensils from the o ven, and from the lo wer dra wer .
