In extreme conditions, such as commercial cutting or when cutting thick and/or dense b ranches, efficiency may be increased by trimming without the blade guard.

Avo id touching blades whenever possible, and always we ar gloves to protect hands. Note: The blade cover is used for transportatio n and storage.

The blades must not move at idle, otherwise serious personal injury may resu lt. Periodic carburetor adjustment may be necessary to assu re blades do not move at idle.
20 X7502255307 © 9/2013 ECHO Inc. OPERATION HC-165/185 Rotating Operation HC-165/185 Hedge Clipper throttle ha ndles are adjustable for operator comfort at all angles of operation. Stop engine before rotating throttle handl e, otherwise serious personal injury may result.

Periodic carburetor adjustment may be necessary to as sure blades do not move at idle. If blades move, readjust carburetor according to these instructions, or see your ECHO Dealer.

Use long hex wrenches and sockets with extensions when tightenin g blade screws and blade locknuts to kee p hands at a safe distance from sharp blades.
