8 8 If option al starter kill relay or its connecti ons ar e immediately visible upon r emoval o f the und er-d ash panel, they can easily be bypassed .
9 9 The i gnition wire is power ed when th e key is in the run or start positi on. This is because the i gnition wire powers the i gnition system (spark plugs, coil) as well as th e fuel delivery system (fuel pump, fuel injecti on computer).
1 1 0 0 The (+) parkin g light wir e is often f ound near th e switch. Man y cars have the switch built into th e turn si gnal lever , and in these cars th e parking ligh t wire can be foun d in the steerin g column. The same wir e is often avail- able in the ki ck panel or running boar d.

1 1 6 6 As shipped , this wire should be conn ected to the (+) parkin g light wir e . If the ligh t flash polarity jumper un der the sli ding door is m oved to the opposite positi on (see Internal Programming Jumper section o f this guide), this wire suppli es a (-) 200 mA output.
1 1 7 7 Connect this wir e to the option al dom elight supervisi on relay as sh own below: I I M M P P O O R R T T A A N N T T ! ! This output is only intended to drive a relay. It cannot be connected directly to the domelight circuit, as the output cannot support the current draw of one or more light bulbs.
1 1 8 8 This wire is used in vehi cles that have a positive (+) switched dom e ligh t circuit. Connect th e violet wir e to a wire that sh ows (+)12V when any d oor is opened , and groun d when th e door is closed.
1 1 9 9 Befor e connecting this wir e , remove th e supplied fuse . Connect to th e battery positive terminal or the con stant 12V supply to the i gnition switch. N N O O T T E E : : Always use a fuse within 12 inches of the point you obtain (+)12V. Do not use the 15A fuse in the harness for this purpose.

2 2 1 1 Connect this wir e to the wire in th e vehicle that sen ds the sign al to turn on the W AIT -T O-ST ART bulb in the d ash- board . In most diesels th e wire is n egative (ground turn s on the bulb) an d the GRA Y/BLACK wire can be dir ectly connected to th e wire in the vehi cle .

The Status LED plugs into th e small two-pin sock et, while the V alet® /Program Switch should be plugg ed into the lar ger blue two-pin conn ector .

2 2 5 5 The V alet/Progr am switch, plugged in to the blue port, is used for pr ogrammin g. There is a basi c sequen ce of steps to rem ember whenever pr ogrammin g this unit: Door , Key , Choose , T ran smit and Release . 1. O O p p e e n n a a d d o o o o r r .
2 2 6 6 progr am Channel 2. Release the V alet/Progr am switch. Press it on e time an d release it to advance fr om Chann el 1 to Channel 2. N ow , press an d H H O O L L D D the V alet/Program switch. Th e LED will flash two tim es and th e horn will honk twi ce (if connected).
