Rem ember , this is not th e only way your tran smitter may be set up. Y ou can activate, or arm, th e system by pressing on your tran smitter for one secon d.
7 © 2001 Directed Electr onics , Inc . When armed, your v ehicle is protected in the follo wing way s: ■ Ligh t impacts will trigger th e W arn Away ® si gnal. Wh en trigg ered, th e siren will chirp an d the parkin g lights will flash for a few secon ds.

10 © 2001 Directed Electr onics , Inc . T o disable the back-up battery siren, follo w these steps: 1. Locate the back-up battery sir en. 2. Remove th e water protective cap on the back sid e of the sir en to expose th e siren lock switch.
11 © 2001 Directed Electr onics , Inc . Y ou can prevent your security system fr om automatically armin g and tri ggering by usin g V alet ® Mod e . This is very useful when washing or servi cing the vehi cle .
12 © 2001 Directed Electr onics , Inc . that sensor or switch (alon g with any other sen sors or switches sharing th e same zone) f or 60 minutes . If the bypassed sen sor tries to trigg er the system while it is bein g bypassed, th e 60-minute bypass period will start over .
13 © 2001 Directed Electr onics , Inc . If the security system is arm ed while an input is active (a sensor is trigg ering) the sir en will chirp once wh en arming an d then on e mor e time a few seconds later . This extr a chirp is called Bypass Notifi cation.

P o w er Saver Mode Y our system will automatically en ter Power Saver M ode while armed or in V alet Mode , after a period of tim e in which no oper a- tion has been perf ormed. This lowers th e curren t dr aw on the vehicle's battery an d prevents th e system from d rainin g the bat- tery .

20 © 2001 Directed Electr onics , Inc . Trigger or T riggered Sequence: This is what happens wh en the alarm "goes o ff" or "trips". The trigg ered r esponse o f your system consists o f 30 or 60 seconds o f siren soun ding an d ligh ts flashing.
