- 20 - Basic >> Da te & Time Date & Tim e - TimeZo ne: Select the pr oper tim e zone for the re gion from the pull-do wn menu. - Synchroniz e with PC: Select this option and the date & t ime settings of the cam era will be synchroni zed with the c onnected com puter.
- 21 - - User Name: Enter the us er’s nam e you want to add to us e the cam era. - Passw ord: Enter the p assword for the new us er. W hen you are finished, click Add/Modify to add the ne w user to the c amera. T o modify the user’s inform ation, select the one you want to modif y from UserList and click Add/M odify .
- 22 - 4.2 Network Settings The Net work menu c ontains three s ub-menus that provide t he network settings f or the cam era, such as the IP Sett ing, DDNS Setting, and I P Filter. Network >> Netw ork IP Setting This item allows you to select the I P address m ode and s et up the related c onfigur ation.
- 23 - DDNS Settin g W ith the Dynamic DNS f eature, you ca n assign a f ixed hos t and dom ain name to a dynam ic Internet IP address. T o set up the D DNS: 1. Check Enable check box to enable this feature. 2. Select a DDN S Prov ider from the pull-down l ist.
- 24 - Network >> IP Filter The IP Filter s etting allo ws the adm inistrator of the cam era to limit the user s withi n a certain ra nge of IP addresses to access the cam era. Disable: Se lect this opti on to disable th e IP Filter f unction of the cam era.
- 25 - Network >> Wi reless Setting The cam era supports W ireless f eature that can co nnect to your wireless network. Se lect the Enable option to e nable this feat ure. Netw ork ID (SSID): Ke ep the default s etting of th is option to con nect the cam era to an y access po int under the inf rastructure ne twork mode.
- 26 - If you select O pen or Sha red-ke y as the Authe ntication m ode, you n eed to com plete the follo wing settings: - Encryption : Select the W EP option to enable the d ata encr yption feature t o secure the cam era within the w ireless net work.

- 29 - Video & A udio >> Video MJPEG - Video Resolu tion: Select t he desired video resol ution fr om the three form ats: VGA , Q VG A and QQVG A . The higher sett ing (VGA) obta ins better video qual ity while it uses mor e resource within your networ k.

- 32 - 4.4 Event Server The Event Server m enu contains three sub-m enus that allo w you to up load image s to FTP, s end emails that include st ill images, a nd store video clips, s till images to a net work attached s torage (NA S). Event Server Setting>> FTP FTP - Host A ddress: Enter the I P address of the target FT P server.
- 33 - Event Server Setting >> E mail Email - SMT P Server Address: Enter the m ail server addr ess. For ex ample, m ymail.com . - Sender Em ail Address: Enter the em ail address of the user who will s end the em ail. For exam ple, John@m ymail.

- 35 - 4.5 Motion Detect *This f unction can onl y be configure d in W indows Internet Explorer. The Motion D etect m enu contains the c omm and and option that allow you to enable and set up th e motion detect ion feature of the cam era. T he camera provides two detecti ng areas.
- 36 - 4.6 Event Config The Event C onfiguratio n menu conta ins five sub-m enus that pro vide the c omm ands to configure e vent profiles. Event Configuration >> Gene ral Setting - Snapshot/Re cording Subfolder: You can assig n a given s ub-folder for c aptured f ile.

T o configure a new prof ile, click A dd and then enter a descriptive name f or the profile in the prom pt dialog windo w. After en tering the pr ofile nam e, click O K and the profile is added to t he Schedu le Profiles list.

- 40 - 4.7 Tools The T ools menu provid es the com mands that allow you to r estart or r eset the ca mera. You can a lso backup and r estore your configurati on, and up grade the f irmware for the cam era. Factory Reset Click Reset to restore a ll factor y default settings for the cam era.
- 41 - 4.8 RS-485 The RS-485 m enu prov ides the co ntrol settings f or external de vice through t he I/O port. - 49 - 4. W hen search is finished, s elect the c amera and c lick Add . 5. The inform ation of the c amera will be displa yed on the windo w. When c ompleted, c lick Preview and then click Save to retur n to the D evice Setting window. The added c amera wil l be displa yed in the Device List.

- 52 - Viewing Ima ge of the Camera Since you h ave added c amera(s) to the system , the image of the selec ted camer a(s) will be displ ayed on the Live Vie w W indow aut om atically.
- 53 - 5.4 Recording / Playing Video Enabling / Disabling Recording Press Prev iew to activate the sett ings. W hile you are add ing/editing t he camer a, you can enab le the recording f unction for the cam era by selecting the Rec ord option. Cl ick Save af ter you finish s etting.
- 54 - Configuring the Rec ording Settings The def ault director y for saving the rec orded video files is “ C:”. You can ch ange the targ et folder f or saving the f iles in the Reco rd Setting o ption. 1. Click the butto n and then s elect Record Setting .
