Like any other electrically powered device, If it is not used pr operly it may cause electric shock.
6- ENG D27930 HOW TO PREVENT IT WHA T CAN HAPPEN WARNING: RISK OF BURNS T ouching exposed metal such as the compressor head or outlet tubes, can result in serious burns. Never touch any exposed metal parts on compressor during or immediately after operation.
7- ENG D27930 Review and understand all instructions and war nings in this manual. Become familiar with the operation and controls of the air compr essor . Keep operating area clear of all persons, pets, and obstacles. Keep children away fr om the air compressor at all times .
8- ENG D27930 GLOSSAR Y Become familiar with these terms before operating the unit. CFM : Cubic feet per minute. SCFM: Standard cubic feet per minute; a unit of measur e of air delivery . PSIG: Pounds per square inch gauge; a unit of measur e of pressure.
INST ALLA TION Location of the Air Compressor Locate the air compressor in a clean, dry and well ventilated ar ea. The air compressor should be located at least 12" away fr om the wall or other obstructions that will interfere with the flow of air .
10- ENG D27930 V oltage and Circuit Pr otection Refer to the Parts Manual for the voltage and minimum branch circuit requir ements. Certain air compressors can be operated on a 15 amp cir cuit if the following conditions are met. 1. V oltage supply is 108V -132V AC at the outlet.

12- ENG D27930 Before Starting Break-in Pr ocedure Serious damage may result if the following br eak-in instructions are not closely followed. This procedur e is required befor e the air compressor is put into service and when the check valve or a complete compressor pump has been r eplaced.
13- ENG D27930 MAINTENANCE Customer Responsibilities Daily or after each use Before each use Check Safety V alve ● Drain T ank ● T o Check Safety V alve If the safety valve does not work properly , over - pressurization may occur , causing air tank rupture or an explosion.
14- ENG D27930 Before you stor e the air compressor , make sure you do the following: 1. Review the "Maintenance" section on the preceding pages and perform scheduled maintenance as necessary . 2. Set the Auto/On/Off lever to "OFF".
15- ENG D27930 Performing repairs may expose voltage sour ces, moving parts or compressed air sour ces, moving parts or compressed air sour ces. Personal injury may occur . Prior to attempting any repairs, unplug the air compr essor and bleed off all air tank air pressur e.
16- ENG D27930 PROBLEM CAUSE CORRECTION It is normal for "some" pressur e drop to occur . If there is an excessive amount of pressur e drop when the accessory is used, adjust the regulator following the instructions in the "Description of Operation" paragraph in the "Operation Section.
17- ENG D27930 PROBLEM CAUSE CORRECTION Motor will not run. Check fuse box for blown fuse and replace as necessary . Reset circuit breaker . Do not use a fuse or circuit br eaker with higher rating than that specified for your particular branch circuit.
