The first call is automatically placed on hold. 3 When the second call is connected, touch the Menu button Merge calls to start the conference call.
Using Y our Dell™ Streak 37 Additional call settings • Call forwarding : Diverts in coming calls to a designated phone number when your device is busy , unreachable, does not answer , or if you want to always forward calls. T o enable call forwarding, enter the number to divert to or touch to select a contact from your Contacts list.

Using Y our Dell™ Streak 41 Messaging T o compose, send, and read text (SMS) or multimedia (MMS) messages, touch Messaging . The Messaging screen opens with a list of messages or me ssage th reads r epresenting all the received, sent a nd draft messages.
42 Using Y our Dell™ Streak T o compose and s end a multimedia message 1 In the To field, type the recipient’s mobi le phone number , e-mail address, or contact name. Matching contacts with their mobile numbers or e-mail addresses appear below the To field.
Using Y our Dell™ Streak 43 Audio Open the Select audio menu. T ouch a desired audio file, and then touch OK to attach the file to you r message. T o attach an audio file stor ed on the SD card to MMS: 1 Create a folder named Rin gtones in the SD card.

Using Y our Dell™ Streak 45 Receiving text and multimedia messages Depending on your notification settings, the devic e rings, vibrates , or display s a message briefl y in the status bar as a new text or multimedia message arrives. A new message icon appears and stay s in the notifica tions ar ea of the status bar to remind you of a new message.

52 Using Y our Dell™ Streak RSS Real Simple Syndication (RSS) is a we b format for websit e owners to publish RSS feeds — full or summarized texts of fr equently updated web contents such as blog entries and news headlines. After you subscribe to an RSS feed, yo u will r eceive an upda te once the RSS publisher releases new content.
Using Y our Dell™ Streak 53 Facebook F acebook is a social networking website where you can post your personal profile, find and contact your friends, classmates or work associates, and ex change mes sages with them. 1 On the Home screen of your device, touch the Sign in button at the top right of the F acebook widget.

64 Web Using W eb Links, History , and Downloads T o select a link on a web page Move to a link you want on a web page. The link is fr amed by an orange box when you touch it. T o check the history of visited web pages 1 On the browser screen, touch or touch the Menu button Bookmarks .
We b 65 T o allow download of web applications CAUTION: Applications downloaded from the web can be from unknown sources. T o protect your device and pers onal data, download applicatio ns only from trusted sources such as Android Market. T o download web applications, enable your device’s do wnloading feature.

NOTE: If you want to save the message as a draft and modify it later , touch or touch the Menu button Save as draft , and then select yes . Maps Google Maps helps you find your cu rr ent location, view real-time traffic situations, and get dir ections to your destination. 80 Web Map layer The map layer displays streets, highways, buildings, main establishments, mass transit stations, parks, rivers, lakes, mountains, boundaries, and so on. T raffic layer The traffic layer displays colored lines along the roads wher e real-time traffic data can be collected.

Protecting Y our Dell™ Streak 101 Protect Y our SIM Card With the SIM Lock Password Y ou can protect your SIM car d agains t unauthorized use with a personal identification number (PIN). After a PIN is e n a b l e d t o l o c k y o u r SI M , yo u w i l l need to enter the PIN each time you tu rn on the device in or der to unlock your SIM.

Applications 103 Applications Camera Y our device has a 5.0 megapixel camera with auto-focus feature that allows you to capture and shar e high-q uality pictures and videos. NOTE: Before you use the camera applicati on, you need to install a microSD card in your device.
104 Applications NOTE: T o achieve optimal focus such as for taking a close shot, half-press and hold the camera button to use the auto-focus mode.
