Setting Up Yo ur Speak er Powering Your Speaker On/Off To power on the speaker, press and release the p ower button. The LED on the power button will lig ht up to indicate that the d evice is on . To po wer off the speake r, press and re lea se t he po wer butt o n.
Charging the Batter y For best res u l ts, fully charge yo ur s peake r for 6 hours b efo r e use. To ch arge y our sp ea ker, conne c t the USB c able from your c ompu t er to the mic ro USB po rt on th e b ack of your speaker. Alternativel y, y ou co uld use the exi sting Mi c ro USB cable from your smart phone or tablet .
Connecting and Pairing Your Speaker The Del l Bluetoo th Po rtable Speaker s upp o rts both wi red (3.5 m m) s tereo input and wireless audio via Bluetoo t h. You can wi re le ss ly str e am audio from any Bluetooth device with op timal audio per forman ce stre aming within 33 ft (10 m ).
Bluetooth Pairing The speaker need s to be pa ired before you can use yo ur Bluetooth de v ices . 1 Turn on/enable Bluetooth on y our computer or your Bluet ooth device. 2 Power on your speaker. 3 Press and hold the Blu etooth button on the speake r f or two seconds to start the device search.
5 Once the device is co nnected and paired, the Bluetooth LED will remain on. NO TE: The Dell Blu etooth Spea ker is able to stor e 8 pairings a nd connects to the last paired device.
NFC (N ear F i eld Communication) Pairing Your spe ak er s upports NFC-en abl ed dev i ces for quick and conven i ent tap to pair functionality. 1 Make sure the device to be paired supports NFC. 2 Power on your speaker. 3 Place your NFC - enabled device on top of the NFC logo on the speaker to start pairing.
Adding the Speak er to You r Computer To add the speaker to yo ur co m p uter, follow t he in s truc t io ns below. Adjusting the volume During au dio playback on yo ur speaker, to adju st t he vo lu m e, follow t he inst ruc tio ns below. 1 Press the + button t o adjust the volume up.
Receiving Phone Calls T hrough Your Speakers When your mobile dev i ce is con nect ed through Bluetooth, your speaker can be us ed as a speakerp hone. Calls wi ll automatically be tr ansferr ed to the speaker allowi ng you to answer a call. NO TE: If you r eceive a call w hile playing au dio, playback will be paused.
