How your applianc e w orks The microw aves used for cooking ar e electromagnetic wa ves. They are c ommonly found in our environment in the f orm of radio wa ves, light and infrar ed rays. Their frequency is in the 2450 MHz r ange. The microw aves are r eflected by metals, but tra vel through all other materials.

Fitting Out Y our Applianc e 1 . Side rac ks The side rac ks allow three differ ent cooking heights for the drip tra y and shelf (figure 5). When cooking using the grill or combination grill progr ammes, use the drip tray or shelf at height 1 f or thick foods suc h as roasts, and at height 3 for thin f oods such as bacon or chops.

T ouch or until the required defr ost progr amme (d01-d04) show s on the display , then touch to confirm the selection.
Pr ogr ammes Defrosting times Foods cov ered with ice crystals will tak e longer to defrost. Y ou should increase the defrosting time ac cordingly. The defrost time depends on the shape, siz e, initial temperature and quality of the food.
Pr ogr ammes 4 Fan o ven progr amme The fan oven pr ogramme allows you to cook and br own foods just as you w ould in a traditional oven. The c ooking temperature can be set betw een 50-250 ˚ in 1 0 ˚ increments. Place the food on the shelf on either the fir st or second height.

Pr ogr ammes 5 Full Grill 6 Half Grill Y ou can use the grill progr ammes to cook or brown gr atinated foods or meats. This appliance has both full grill and half grill pr ogrammes dependent on the amount of food to be c ooked. Each grill progr amme has three differ ent power levels, 3 f or full heat, 2 for medium heat, 1 f or low heat.
Pr ogr ammes 7 . Combination Fan Ov en and Micro wa ve progr amme The combination fan oven and micr owave pr ogramme allows you to c ook and brown foods just as you w ould in a traditional oven but much mor e quickly than with the fan oven pr ogramme.
Pr ogr ammes It is possible to cook on tw o levels at once, for example an 800g r oast and 800g potatoes au gr atin at 1 70˚ for 55 minutes. Place the r oast on the glass drip tray at the third height, and the pot atoes on the turntable. Do not baste r oasts prior to cooking to reduc e smoke and grease splashes.
Pr ogr ammes 8 Combination F ull Grill and Microw av e 9 Combination Half Grill and Micr owa ve Y ou can use the combination grill and microw ave progr ammes to cook or brown gratinated f oods or meats quickly. This micr owave has both full grill and half grill progr ammes dependent on the amount of food to be cooked.

T ouch to confirm the pr ogramme. T ouch or until the required t emperature shows on the displa y , then touch to confirm the selection.
Pr ogr ammes Aut o Cook Progr ammes This microw ave has 1 2 preset automatic cooking pr ogrammes which specify cooking time and mode based on the food type and w eight.
